Jermaine Burton 2020 Film - All Targets

As an Alabama fan I was shocked to hear Jermaine Burton is transferring to Alabama and wondered why until I watched this video and it made it all very clear. This guy is an elite receiver that hasn't been able to reach his potential due to the poor passing of Stetson Bennett. He's going to light up college football next season with Bryce Young throwing the ball to him.

Exactly what I saw. I didn’t know he was this good. Brooks, Hall, Earle, and Burton will do just fine next year. Plus we signed 5 top100 WR’s in this years recruiting class.

Exactly. You don't want Stetson as your qb if you're elite. UGA defense made them badass and win a natty. They were outstanding. Stetson looked OK in the natty because Bama entire secondary was backups. Let this kid play with Bryce and be a Heisman contender. Rtr!!!

As an Alabama fan who looks at the game from an Xs and Os standpoint after watching Jermaine Burton highlights I think he is a great X WR. He is faster than Meche but slower than Williams. He reminds me of Devonta Smith regarding his speed and route running. I think J. Earle will become the Slot WR or Holden. But I think A. Hall now that he has an opportunity to get some real field time will become the Z WR. I am waiting for spring camp to determine if J. Brooks is better at X or Slot. Now that Burton will be coached by Wiggins, he might become a true Z WR. Time will tell but regardless these Bama WRs are going to be scary against opposing defenses.

I came to watch this guys film because he's coming to Bama. As I'm watching, I'm thinking he's not that good. So I keep watching. And I realize the guy isn't being used right, Bennett only throws behind him and throws him ducks, then wonder how the hell Georgia isn't running jet sweeps with this guy. Bama needs a guy like this and hopefully he will shine with a guy like Young throwing to him. No one can have a breakout year with Bennett throwing.

Lots of potential could have laid out for that pass in the endzone. George Pickins would have. Lost the ball in the air a few times too. This will comes with reps. Some underthrown balls. If the ball isn't perfect. He tends to give up on it. He needs to work on comeback routs and hand fighting to win the 50/50 ball not sure he has the same high point catching radius as Geroge Pickens. He's a solid number 2 WR. Not the number one guy UGA needs to replace George Pickins. K. Jackson either. Erik Gilbert could be that guy or Washington. I watch a lot of Pac 12 football. The elite WR's in that conference will catch everything underthrown slightly overthrown you just need to get the ball in the area and they will adjust.
