That's the exact same excuse serial killers use to justify their psycho issues. You're an adult male. There's no reason you should be playing and sleeping in the same bed with kids that aren't yours. I have said this before - Michael's smile when he's sitting on the floor of the orphanage (in Russia or Romania I think) is how I choose to remember him. It is a smile of pure joy because he was doing what he loved most by bringing happiness to the forgotten children and helping the orphanage financially. This should have been all the evidence anyone ever needed that Michael's love for children was pure and absolutely genuine. The sad thing is people couldn't relate to that and accept it for what it was.

At least Jermaine explained it better than Michael did himself. Michael was a genius and good hearted man, but he was so clear on his view that couldn’t see why others were questioning it and he didn’t use strong enough arguments because for him it was obvious… It is a pity that they took advantage of his kindness and couldn’t see his psychological background. It was really his Achilles heel. I wish he had received some professional help because he was indeed self-destructive without realising it. He was also (unknowingly) stubborn enough not to change his ways even after being questioned. I guess he wanted to prove everyone wrong but he didn’t know what was coming. Even a family with a cancer-sick kid accusing him that he started the abuse after the Bashir interview - how obviously fake is that?… who could have thought that this piece of information plus how the accusers lied in court, as proven from the defence, did not reach the media…
@Ayana_S11010 ай бұрын
I completely agree with your assessment. I like Michael, but I can’t stand the fact that he was entitled/arrogant enough to put his family, friends, and fans in harm and drama’s way just so he could die on that hill. If I was his family I would have a hard time reconciling that he was so reckless with himself and the family name. If I was his kid my heart would have been crushed and angry because it was all so unnecessary and the damage is forever. I appreciate Jermaine for sticking up for him because I don’t think I could keep doing that if I knew my brother was going to keep self destructing and it wasn’t my fault. It’s all so unfair because years of hard work was trashed because of Michael’s will. It was always his way or the highway, it’s a shame.

My point though was that he couldn’t help it. You cannot control self-destruction without professional help, at the level that he was. He had many unresolved traumas, anorexia, insomnia and autoimmune diseases (which are probably the epitome of subconscious self-destruction). He couldn’t see it and in parallel he could not trust anyone, including his family. Everyone kept betraying him or letting him down; from his abusive and promiscuous father, to religion-obsessed mother, to jealous siblings, to racist industry, to unrequited loves, to money-hungry families, to obsessed prosecutors, to savage media, to doctors even… I am so surprised by how in the world he managed to be so brilliant with all that he had to endure! His case should forever serve as an intriguing and complex case of social/cultural/psychological and historical significance! I am truly in owe of what he achieved while losing himself completely…😢 I am left with bitterness and sadness that mental health was a taboo back then and noone, not even his few friends or the medical staff when he went to rehab, managed to see him holistically as a human being that was brilliant but in deep need for help to heal… Instead he was eaten alive. Everyone failed him, while he ‘stood up’ the longest and the highest than any individual with his profile could have managed to.. The irony is that he himself was reading books about psychology (Freud and Jung) amongst the many subjects he was reading (he was really a ‘nerd’ if you look it up). He was even talking about healing the inner child (his Oxford speech). He was beyond his time even on that! But somehow he didn’t manage to save himself… If only he found someone to match his spiritual and intellectual level, to win his trust and help him heal… Damn he was exceptional beyond comprehension!!!

@@athinad. An addendum to your observation about Michael's deep mental issues: There's no way most of the siblings (and their parents, Katherine and Joe) subjected themselves to nose surgery....unless the elder (JOE JACKSON) heavily influenced them. I mean....nearly ALL siblings!!? [ minus Tito and Jackie] Even their nephews ( Tito's sons)!!? Also, there's a lot of fair-skinned favored colorism and other layered issues which infected the family---due to Joe (and people from his era). I'm so sick of people not focusing on the source of a situation (I'm not implying you're doing this. I'm speaking, generally). Michael's obsession with perfectionism is a consequence of his father. His nose for "Off the Wall" era was perfect. But....he did it again, for those months of "Billie Jean"....."Beat It"....and "Motown 25". It was perfect during THAT era. But, later that year (1983) ..he re-sculpted his nose, AGAIN ....for the "Thriller" video (and "Say, Say, Say" w/ Paul McCartney). Then again, for the "Victory" tour. Then bleaching his whole body, for a uniform color. It's like...he just couldn't stop himself. And I'm sure people near him DID tell him to stop (including the one he loved the most---Katherine). BUT, even KATHERINE HERSELF she said Michael denied and lied to HER.

Michael was initially damaged by the 1993 strip search and photographs of his naked body (NOTHING was identified/matched). Due to wicked agenda of EVAN CHARMATZ (screenwriter for "Robin Hood: Men in Tights"). As a result, "HIStory (1995)" was a very angry, socio-politically conscious LP. It was the first time MJ used profanity (several times) on an LP. I played it all summer, in 1995. But; despite the 1993--1994 witch hunt (led by Tom Sneddon), Michael recovered and tried to be optimistic and smile, again. But, 2003--2005 nearly killed him. Michael never fully recovered, from this era. His dependency on drugs increased (thus, he ate less...and ultimately became frail and weak...as seen in "This Is It") . He suffered from paranoia (obvious reasons)....and trusted no one. The light in his eyes....and the youthful optimism about people and the world....had diminished. As a pre-1980 Gen-Xer and Black male....I witnessed all of this, in real time. From a world glorifying him...to crucifying him. The wickedness of the mass media, Martin Bashir, Oprah Winfrey, Diane Sawyer, Tom Sneddon, Corey Feldman (Corey loves attention. He jumped on the bandwagon, in 2004...and I will NEVER forget this) and others: was proof to me to NEVER allow the illusion of fake adoration to seduce me. As an artist, it tempts me....but, the persecution of Michael Jackson taught me the true nature of this world and its envious human beings. Finally: TRUE FAMILY AND A MOTHER'S LOVE REMAINS....WHEN EVERYONE ABANDONS YOU. This is why I will NEVER support anything John Branca approves/manages. The 1997 estate will is the REAL will. And a BLACK WOMAN whom MJ adored beyond words (Katherine Jackson).....was the REAL executor. No attorney ever DISCOVERS AN "UPDATED WILL" ..... *nearly a month after someone dies* . 😒😑

He’d said 80 cops invaded his bedroom, unwarranted, and tore it APART. He was absolutely broken and couldn’t go back in there after that. Picture 80 ppl in your house. We don’t know how big his b/r was, there are photos, so can you imagine the unfathomable?? It’s SICK. The pain he endured…..well, no more. We don’t know what his future would’ve or could’ve held, but Jesus took him home and think of the sadness as a relief for him. Michael doesn’t have to put up with the horrific ways of this world ever again.

Thankyou for this great video of Jermaine standing my Micheal during his difficult times during his trial. And believing that Micheal was innocent of these disgusting allegations they were charging that weren't true. I always believed that Micheal was innocent, and always will. I miss Micheal so much. I will always be his fan for life.❤😊

5:22 Mj looks so sad and worried understandably. This process of judgement caused him to lose weight and ultimately partially led to his demise. The court costs I read lead to his tour and his insomnia worsened w/the pressure and stress which led to his dying :( under that evil drs Negligence. Disturbing. I wonder if the DA Sneddon ever had any guilt about his cruelty towards him and if he ever cleared his name or had his criminal record expunged. Germaine on his brother: '_His good, his innocence, hes a good soul' He sounds very soft-spoken like Mj.
@hannaz461710 ай бұрын
You are absolutely right. Michael had an emotional and sensitive heart, he honestly never recovered after the trial. I don't think that DA Sneddon ever had guilt or shame. He was a racist. He falsified evidence in the trial, he should have faced criminal charges as anybody else. The whole trial was the biggest shame in history. And the smear campaign against Michael was the most shameful period of journalism in history! Some rich men of the entertainment industry gave money to media outlets for any fake news. What a shame! Media can manipulate peoples minds.

IT'S NOT NORMAL FOR MOST FAMILIES TO SHARE BEDS, BUT IN THE JACKSON FAMILY THEY HAD SUCH A SMALL HOME, THEY SHARED BEDS ALL THE TIME, SO THIS WAS NORMAL TO MICHAEL. MY FRIEND, ALL THROUGH HIGH SCHOOL HE THOUGHT IT WAS NORMAL FOR THE DAD TO BEAT THE MOM EVERYDAY AND TO BEAT THE KIDS AT DINNER. I NEVER THOUGHT ABOUT THIS. SO, TO MICHAEL SHARING A BED WITH A BUNCH OF KIDS WAS NORMAL. THIS WAS HOW HE GREW UP.

If you are a danger to the system, it will take advantage of your weakness to destroy you, but Michael was strong and defeated it with his light, yet it continued to eat away at his soul, we will never forget you dear Michael, No one will be what you were anymore because today's artists are all puppets and not an inspiration like you were for generations.

Counseling helped me realize that I am in control myself and not anyone. So please get counseling if you are feeling overwhelmed by those horrible experiences from your past. 😪 Thank you for reading my comment and have a great day.
