This game was so Amazingly unintentionally hilarious, just with how the players interacted with each other. Like how in the middle of the Jerma’s frog dude just steals that one guy’s ship as soon as they get out of it. Imagine that happening in real life. I mean, can you imagine just if you’re like Cortez or whatever, and like five minutes after you set foot in the Americas with your conquistadors, like 15 barely clothed dipshits just zip right by you as fast as the can and steal your ship while you aren’t manning it? Or how Jerma accidentally trapped his greatest Rival, because he left Evernight completely empty, but also took the only tool one could use to leave that place with him.

The computer didn't give him bone dragons, purple took over orange ai's necro towns on the west side of the map. The only way they cheat I think is having extra money and resources/ turn so they can usually always buy out everything available, but they don't spawn armies from thin air

The difficulty setting changes your starting resources. On "impossible" you start with zero resource. It's quite possible still to win, especially on large maps.

In addition, it _also_ increases the intelligence of the AI to make defeating them more difficult. They'll make less obvious mistakes, get "luckier" with various random, luck-based events (the computer basically tips the odds in its favour by manipulating RNG in the back-end to be more beneficial to itself), like random monsters joining their party, high morale and luck bonuses during combat, etc. They'll even team up with each other to ensure you lose. Depending on the scenario, "Impossible" can be borderline literal in terms of difficulty, stacking the odds so massively against you that you'd need a miracle to win.

Yes it's not impossible but if you play impossible on extremely small maps then you need a miracle because theyll be banging on your doorstep within the first week with a giant army. But if it's a very large map you will have time to catch up in power

I didn't think I would like it in the beginning. Listened to it in the background for the first couple of hours, sounded dull, technical, not my cup of tea. Around the 5-6 hour mark is where my interest picked up. I guess I'd gotten familiar with the mechanics by then and could actually see *why* it was interesting. My eyes/ears glossed over it all before because it was new and I didn't understand WTF I was watching. By the end, I was riveted. Stayed up til 1:20AM just to see the conclusion. I'll be watching stream #2 of this with GREAT interest!

I'm confused. I started playing Heroes III: Complete Edition on GOG and his game is different than mine. It's almost identical but he has additional UI elements as well as a different resolution. I can't hire all units from one screen when at a castle, it doesn't show the map in the background when I'm at a castle or in a background, and while on the map he has a couple extra buttons on the right side. I don't understand. :T

He has only ever mentioned using OBS, and streamlabs OBS. However, he is playing the GOG version, it works perfectly fine on Windows 10, and as he didn't complain at the beginning of the stream, (which he usually does state any issues he's had just to fill time for people to join), you should be able to capture it fine.

3 months late but it's probably nothing more than prejudice. I played the shit out of heroes 4 as a child and going to heroes 3 was practically the same with only the heroes being different. You improve on a lot of strategy mechanics too, like recruiting many heroes to constantly control all dwellings/mines so the main army doesn't waste time and only deals with combat. There's logistics and strategizing

At the time of writing (because of the update coming "soon") stellaris ain't that bad tbh, once you figure it out the AI is usually a joke before midgame. Hearts of iron 4 though... AI still isn't really smart but, so many values, so many numbers...

Heroes 3 is really straight forward and easy to play, actually. A lot of us played it when we were 7-9 years old, and had no problem grasping it - it's pretty intuitive. It's just harder to understand while watching someone else.
