Charlo was crying because his ego is MASSIVE, and now his "perfect" record is gone, and he now has to face the reality that he's not the invincible fighter he was swaggering about.

Thank Mayweather for this, we've got a generation of fighters coming through looking to emulate his undefeated record and become billionaires n stuff. Their whole world comes crashing down when they lose as they were so far from reality in their heads in the first place

Charlo's initial reaction to the loss was good. Seemed as if he was ready to bounce back immediately. But once Harrison got on the mic, Charlo started acting like a baby interrupting Harrison and making up stuff. Poor sportsmanship.

Jermell said he doesn’t play video games because he doesn’t like losing. That for me is a bad sign that he will not be pursuing tough fights. It may also show that he only wishes to stay in safe environments where he may not choose tough sparring partners because he won’t like getting bested.

Both have been a little hyped up for beating lower level fighters, from what I saw last weekend neither are beating A level fighters.

very on point. and although it's not like this is something Mayweather did purposely. not only does it affect the newer generation of Fighters, as mentioned in your example, it has also affected the way many younger/new fans who are getting into watching the sport as well, as it seems that they don't realize that occasionally even the greatest Fighters will lose fights. it's as if they do not realize that Floyd Mayweather is an anomaly in this sport, but you see all the time when I really great modern fighter loses a fight and the comments on KZbin boxing channels or message boards show you that a segment of fans will take one loss as beliefs that that guy is washed up, or a fake all along, etc

HatmanSB, Really fascinating subject, debate & question. I believe, I'm more a "glass is half empty" type of mam. For me, sport is about, all or nothing. If I don't do what I intended pre event, then I have not succeeded. Sport is all about my desires, my hunger, my dreams. Other people just get to enjoy or experience the ride. Nevertheless, I'm not afraid of a loss because it does happen. I can accept and welcome it if my opponent is better than me, on the day. I never delude self because self always knows best. I can live comfortably with self.
