Jermell Charlo vs. Tim Tszyu - FIGHT COUNTDOWN (4K)

Tim Tszyu seems set to challenge Jermell Charlo in the US, rather than running the risk of losing his shot at becoming the undisputed super-welterweight champion because of a legal battle.
Charlo became the first man to unify the super-welterweight division in the four-belt era when he stopped Brian Castano last month and Tszyu had hoped to fight him at the Sydney Football Stadium.
But with the American (35-1-1, 19KO) insisting on making the first defence of his undisputed title at home and the deadline for a deal to be done expiring soon, the Australian has backed away from his original plan and now the fight seems set to take place later this year.

It's funny ,when I was a fighter back in the Pryor,Hearns,Leonard era, these overseas fighters NEVER changed. American fighters ,at least most of them advanced to another level of boxing. Your second sentence about him being around top level boxers all his life is a very underrated and forgotten point. I remember reading his old man's book and how as a young child they used to make them run in the Russian snow bare foot. Shiiiit, if Tim has had any of that kind of mental / psychological training passed on down to him then the Jermell and the rest of the division is in big trouble. I reckon the fight with Gausha where he was put on his a$$ early was great for him and then on top of that having Jermell break his hand (well allegedly LOL) and then fighting Harrison will end up being a blessing in disguise for when the fight for all the belts happens later this year. Tim is the last fighter he wants to face after such a long lay off and IMO should be very worried because the Soul Taker is coming 🥊

Tim has got to work on not getting hit so much and footwork and get his head off the centre line, he walks dudes down but to me that's dangerous he gets caught. He makes these rather big mistakes even when he's beating a guy. High guard and being a Counter striker means he is waiting for the other to go. He needs more time to get body movement down.

why do people think one more fight will change tszyu? If he’s not ready now he never will be. Tim is 27 he’s in his prime, he’s been boxing for probably 15 years. he’s learnt from the best in the biz and he can still get sharper but another 10 rounds aren’t going to make a difference. Only small changes can be made to Tim now he’s not a 18 year old kid learning the craft. The small changes come in camp and sparring not another fight. Never understand why people say “so and so needs one more fight” unless they are Early in their career and not in their prime

Easy work for Jermell if he train and be prepair like Castaño 2. Tim have heavy hands but his defense, footwork and stamina are B class. He don't know how to cut the ring and also his chin is B class too. A really bad night for Charlo will make this fight interesting and more even, a normal night for Charlo will be a victory for him in late rounds by KO, a good night for the twin Charlo will be a easy victory in 6 or 7 rounds. For me this fight is like 4-1 or 5-1 in favor of Charlo, if Tim can hold the 12 rounds and not be knocked out that will be impresive, but of corse, he will lost 8 or 9 rounds for sure. Weight in will be more difficult for Charlo that the fight, if he can make the weight and don't die trying, he will win easy.

I find Mell, horribly messy and yeah awkward in form, perhaps cause of his height compared to others in the division, he's definitely a bigger frame compared to most, however as it has served him well in his career, I'm going to enjoy seeing him react to Tim when when he realises Tim throws and hits just as hard as he does,...
