In the football game, you have a grip stamina bar, it’s the yellow circle around your character’s face in the top left, that’s why in the preview you see the character repeatedly picking up and throwing the ball

When you drop the ball it’s because you’re running out of stamina on the top left and running while holding something makes your stamina run out faster.
