I'm also a fan of Mr. Rose's rendering of the Liszt's sonata. In both cases, Mr. Rose presented a great deal of clarity and brought out the essence of the structure while making technically demanding pieces look deceivingly easy. Bravo!

Wow, this is wonderful! I recall when you played in Atlanta around 1981-82 and I first met you and participated in your master class when I was still in high school. You were a brilliant pianist then and you've still got it! Bravo!

This is a Statement to the world of unimaginable beautify and the fact that Rachmaninov missed his home land I adore Rachmaninov. I know its not the same version Horwitz played in one of his last recitals but like him you are a Genius and still playing incredibly in your maturity best wishes Hugh

Rachmaninoff was wrong in revising this piece. The original 1913 version is a superior work, musically and technically. It is grander and more worthy of the composer than the thinned out later version. I simply do not listen to the latter, but I made an exception because of my admiration for Jerome Rose.
