Rumor has it the upcoming trail finder 4 will have a trailer with the steering servo mounted on it. There will be a long series of plastic wobbly bits to connect to the front wheels.

I saw a leaked photo and the tires are new old stock 1.9 Rock Stompers and the trailer has an aluminum Fracture V8

That 3d printed frame will be neat. I 3d printed the frame for my halftrack project, but as a box, not c channel.

I have an idea for the 4x4 Apache, since you're so great with those custom one off designs how about making the bed with 57 Chevy sides? I know in the late 50's Dodge made what they called a "Sweptside" truck and I think they look awesome.
@turksandjerps2 жыл бұрын
That would be cool but my curiosity about using the K10 bed got the best of me. Plus it used spare parts I had
@RDMcK222 жыл бұрын
JIP is a good idea. Really interested in how the printed frame will turn out. Trucks of that era had frames made of wet noodle, it will look very realistic on the trail.

What printer do you use for your 3-D prints? would you be able to do a video showing your print layout or set up, maybe a time lapse of you printing a body? Would love to see what support you use and your parent orientation and settings!

Yep, you should probably stop making videos. But only after you’ve finished all your trucks and sent them to me for making running videos on my channel. JK. Just finish all the trucks and send them to me but still make videos of more trucks afterwards. I’m looking forward to seeing the 60 series when it’s complete. That’s looking mint. Surprised you didn’t turn the new FMS into to a stake body bed. Why did FMS do this 6x6 thing? Did they think it was going to really move more units? Kind of a flop.
@turksandjerps2 жыл бұрын
I’ll stop making videos and send you all of my incomplete trucks glued together. I wanted to go a few directions with the Apache and stake bed was one of them. I didn’t want to do a lot of fabricating on it and waste time instead I’m doing more detailed paint to it.
@VermontScaleCustoms2 жыл бұрын
@@turksandjerps the paint looked awesome. Saw that on Insta. What would you call all of the trucks glued together? A la STUBurban, but like six trucks deep?
@Hjerte_Verke2 жыл бұрын
Maybe some enterprising young fellow can 3D print a 1959 Chevy Apache stepside or Fleetside bed and make this thing not so hideous? Hideous being the 6x6 stock config.
@turksandjerps2 жыл бұрын
I thought briefly about designing a fleet side bed for it then figured there wouldn’t be much return on time invested

I don't think the TF3 even qualifies to be considered a pierce of junk it's that bad. How does one enter your crew cab giveaway?
