The Toyota turk jerp turned out so well. The way you did the rust coming through from the backside of the panels is genius. I had wondered what your technique was.

High lift f350 is what got me hooked in scale stuff. But when I finally got one after a couple others like scx10 I was greatly disappointed lol. Now that body is on a scx10ii chassis with caged back half
@turksandjerps2 жыл бұрын
I can understand that disappointment. Especially because they were so expensive.

I want “real jeeps have square headlights” on my headstone . Too bad I’m getting cremated 😂I’ll just have them put it on the box I’ll be in 😂

That’s easy. Have your cremains buried, my livelihood depends on it.

My first thought was Jerp Renegade, I had to look up the land runner conversion, I agree, it's ugly. 🤣 I still hope to pick up one of those Tamiya Hilux kits one day. I always wanted one when I was a youngin'. The weathering on the FJ45 looks great. I always worry I'll go to far with the dremel trying to create rust erosion. I'm often amused when people rust weather fiberglass tops on their trucks. I built one of the new Hard Body Crawler Co FJ 40 kits for the SCX24 over the holiday weekend. Really happy with it. Not sure if you've seen one yet.
@turksandjerps2 жыл бұрын
Thanks. I saw those Hard Body Crawler bodies, I wish I had an SCX24 to fit one to. I need to check the measurements, maybe it will fit one of my extra FMS trucks.

Love the FJ45. Great job on all of your projects. I managed to acquire a few rubber ducks at the last Easter Jeep Safari. They look cool on your YJ project. Where did you get them?

If your not going to use your grill. Would ya please sell it to me,I missed out on getting a rtr one. So I went and brought all the body peices. But they don't sell the grill or hood. Pleas let me kno, and awesome jerp build u have going on there.cant wait to see finished

Quick question sir?? How are you going to replicate the square roll cage, that's the big speed bump I'm experiencing, 3d printing isn't an option, I probably could braze something up but I'm trying to stay away from the weight up high, any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks
@turksandjerps2 жыл бұрын
What square roll cage are you referring to? If you don’t need it to be structural or have much strength look for some square styrene tubing. Or heck, even wood!
@slowburn_17252 жыл бұрын
@@turksandjerps 94-95 YJ had the square roll cage 93& earlier had the slanted. Oh and I totally remember that hideous body conversion kit for the jeeps that mocked hum-vee's, the one I saw In my area was super red EVERYWHERE except the tires so sad, def should be cool to see you build one though

Thank you for including Jerps in addition to the Turks this time. I guess you quit dumpsters.
