Just ran across this in one of my playlists. It kind of gave me chills, I have a friend I have known for half my life we are both still single I could never quite understand some things about them even though we seemed like good friends. Somehow one of my coworkers ended up bound determined to get me to try something new which my friend liked but terrified me. I eventually gave in after like 6 times they pushed me to try it, then I almost chickened out many times, but my gut said I would regret if I did. I found out like 3 months later that I was right because I would not have got that experience had I chickened out. Ended up I did it and now feel like I can't believe I was missing out on this for so long. This led me to a great connection with my friend, I finally decided I should invite her somewhere to do our new common interest, I figured most likely get a no or they would not want to do this. They actually countered with something else which did not really work for me so figuring out a new plan. Part of me is like this seems too good to be true, I am not super religious but if this works out it would be like a dream come true. It would not be the first time I said that something will never happen and something that seems like a miracle happens for me. Something about this my coworker so determined to get me to do this, somehow not chickening out when I normally probably would have, now this the odds of all that happening just seem astronomical to me. I still have no idea why my coworker was so determined to get me to try it unless they just thought it was an experience I needed. If nothing else this has really changed how I see trying new things which has always been hard for me. I really hope though that this leads to my first girlfriend, maybe even more though if things go well.
