@j.walker3498 - Chris has explained it multiple times. It just isn’t profitable to run his own rig. Initial outlay for a tractor and trailer, HUGE insurance for wide/oversized loads, licensing, permitting, CDL, all cost big bucks. Then you have to take the time to actually haul whatever, wherever - that means time outta the seat where he’s really making his money. Not only that, Chris usually has his equipment in one place for a pretty long time - that would mean a very expensive truck and trailer sitting around doing nothing. Mr. Donny is working his rig everyday making it all work
@j.walker3498Күн бұрын
@@Manoffire260 I can understand if he just doesn't want to, but it can't be financial the man owns equipment that doesn't earn or save him a penny.

I may be wrong, but I think this is the biggest dam that DP has built. It is massive! The amount of dirt moved is insane! Mike, Aaron, and Jerry have clearly set a record on this job! Wintertime will be a blast on that back slope! Just make sure to avoid the smaller pond at the bottom!

I can see a future of sleds, inner tubes, and wheeled "vehicles", on the backside of that dam. Lots-o-fun! Should leave a small building pad at the top of the dam to set a little gazebo on. Would be a nice place to relax, with a helluva view. (Of course add power, some nice furniture, stereo system, a BBQ grill and fire pit. Hey! I can spend the owners money like a champ! lol).

Yep, it's noisy as, I think it's a chain drive like a cat grader or a skid steer. I may be wrong on that. Going up that steep grade all the oil will flow to the back of the housing, It may have an internal pump for lubrication that may be noisy also.
