Unbelievable solo by one of the heaviest saxophonists around. The other day I was listening to an amazing track of bergonzi and brecker playing together, on Alex Riel's "Unriel". Specifically the track "on again off again" they are trading and it's an amazing document.

I’ve listened to Jerry Bergonzi in the past and this one of the most melodic solos I’ve heard up to date. I’ll be shedding this solo and soon add it to my transcription list this week!

Bergonzi had a nice compact sound here, I think he used a Tone Master 6* around this time, I'm guessing, but great transcription, no guessing here.
