I was blessed bye my step dad who got me a ticket to see JGB. It was the last show at the Providence Civic Center. It was a family night. Bob Southworth my mom and my brother John L Folco attended that night along with many friends.. such a blessing

this tour was truly one of the best times of my life & this show was the peak experience of the tour. still vividly remember the beautiful women spinning & dancing near me during this amazing version of shining star. saw Jerry well over 100 times(GD & JGB) between 87&95 & this was truly 1 of the best nights.

This is magical. On a rough night for me personally I thought I'd listen to a shining star to fix my thinking around it. Went to KZbin on my phone and typed in Jerry Garcia Band Shining Star and before could even look at the results of make a search selection on my phone, realized the kitchen sink pipe was leaking! So I set my phone down and went to address that and just when that became overwhelming and it really was too much for one night, all of a sudden this show starts playing without human hand. I really needed that Bright Shining Miracle Think and yes, it did fix my mind about it and no, not every man can be replaced. My phone shut off right as he said that and no- they may say that but it's simply not true. Thank you Jerry.

I hope your life continued to be positive and note that I just read this 6 years later. I am in a good spot but a strange spot. I am in love with someone who lives 8 hours away. This is really difficult and this song is something that I am honing in on. Not sure where it's going to lead me but I shall trust my heart and instincts. I will say what it is to her and what comes towards me from her is what it is. I have not let someone in my heart for over a decade. I am scare, I am anxious but I know that my heart is full. I need to go where that takes me. I may not hear what I want to hear. But I can't go on in this way any more. As I type this Jerry is giving me the chills on his guitar solo. The world became less without him. I shall try to live up to him. I shall try. Hope all is well

Don't you go away.... This show was the standout of the tour, just amazing in it's song selection and Healy had the sound in pitch perfect form!! If you toured full time you remember how smoking 89' JGB was, this was a bit like it!!

agreed my friend.. probly most fun i ever had at a show that night and tour even; And EVERYTHING bout the show that night was special, joyous, full of love-- even heavenly really. See unlike so many on these boards- even unlike lot of my friends from that generation and beyond, I was not so lucky that i went to hundred or 200 shows... nope; However I consider myself extremely blessed to have experienced the 14 Dead shows and 7 Jerry Band shows... most of those being nestled in between 1989 and 1992. It was a magical night with an atmosphere perhaps as positive and fun with brotherly and sisterly love as any time and place I ever experienced in a large group setting. I mean check the expressions on our troubadours faces this night. The general admission allowed ticket me to rush in fast as lightning (i had been standing there shrooming and freezing my ass of for a couple of hours with the security and that burgundy velvet rope-thing to pick a spot of any one in the building-- something i had dreamed of... ended up next to taped off section- hanging out with Bruce' family and friends (they were so awesome and cool, incredibly nice people having a hell of a time looking like a group coming from church in their Sunday best-- and church it was In a way i guess. Everything was free that night thanks to some beautiful friends. Even ran into friend/neighbor i grew up with but hadn't seen in couple years... he was exactly 2 rows directly bwhind me. 8 could go on but simply a night so great it was hard to believe and the show was just beautiful Even the secuity jammin a bit enjoing the show- an extremely loose environment. Couldnt hardly even see any busts or even efforts to bust. also felt kind if a west coast vibe in someways for an Eastern shiw

i saw 11/06, 11/07/91 at cap centre. I was astounded in how good jerry sounded in jgb. pure jerrry. also the vibe at the shows was more like a spiritual setting, i even took my old mom to 11/07 as it was her birthday. and jgb just happened to be in town. i shall be released and dont let go sound great.

I'm an old Deadhead, since 1965. I've heard many and I know that there are many out there that were and are good, but nobody and I mean nobody felt their music like Jerry. He could do it all. I'm thankful and Grateful that I had the fortune to live at the same time he did. To listen to his music is great and to always watch and remanise all of the videos is great, but to do it and be able think back of all the times and shows is "Wonderful & Fulfilling". ~~NFA~~

I agree. I just sent this to the women of my dreams that I recently met at age 46. 8 hours apart distance but I have to follow my heart. I know that means moving to her and not vice verse.. But that is something I will have to do . We are going to Dead Co in Vegas and letting her know where my heart is. I hope for a good response, but if I do not then I cannot be mad at her, I can only be satisfied that she was able to open my heart again and actually care about someone. That to me is a gift, I just hope that she receives my message well. Did you get married?

I grew up out in Spotsylvania near Fredericksburg, and my first dead show was RFK 90... so I was sort of bummed I couldn't get out to play with the big kids and make it to this show. Then I got tapes not too long after, my brother had a friend who knew some famous Jewish taper guy, but anyways, the audience tapes for this thing that I got were just not good to listen to. So I've never been able to enjoy this famous show i shoulda been at. Till now!!!!!
