Jerry is brilliant in this song. While this song is over 20 minutes long, you still want this song to continue. He was a master.

The Travis Bean doesn't get enough credit IMHO. It's often dismissed in discussions of Jerry's guitars, unlike Alligator, Wolf, Tiger, Rosebud, Lightning Bolt, all the way back to the Gibson SG. I don't know if it's because of the TB but his playing and the sound was awesome in 76 and especially Spring 77

This is a question, for Steve Parish; the caretaker of Jerry's guitars.

He had two TB guitars. TB and TB1000. I love both the guitars.

You are so right! 1976 & 1977 had such a unique sound compared to every year before and after for Jerry and the TB was the key! It is such a bright and plucky sound.

I'm 41. Been listening to Jerry and the Dead all my life. Got to see them on Jerry's last tour. One of my favorite things about them is how I can keep discovering stuff I've never heard before.

Som people don’t like Donna but imagine this tune without her. Jerry really liked her. I met Jerry at my first live show, I asked him if I could sit behind the amps and he yes. F p I run into is Bear dropping. Liquid acid on the back of people’s hands and then they licked it off. I put my hand out and he put four big drops on the back of my hand and I licked it off. First show I passed the acid test. I enjoyed Kieth and Donna and I was sorry they left but until 1979 when they were asked to go their way. I loved Brint and after he died Jerry was going downhill. I met my wife at a show. It’s been years since he died and I miss him.All the Dead family were good people, thanks LSD and the Dead. ⚡️🎸⚡️

Got into Garcia and the dead a little late - I was a sophomore in high school when I realized there was a whole world of their music apart from what was played on FM radio! Right around this time - 1977 - 1978, working part time in Manhattan as a messenger, and broadening my horizons!
