It's all off the top with Jerry. And I appreciate the ready-to-the-moment communication that he brings, even now - as we observe this video, and that moment. Jerry Garcia is a prime example that supports the theory that it's basically all music. In the widest way of seeing what Jerry describe as Brain Craft. And what it might mean to us to learn to practice it. There is a point where theory and practice cross waves. Jerry Garcia plays there, along with the rest of The Dead. And those practicing. In the same way that the Story Teller tells the Story. I Know You Rider is an Open Song. We all play differently but it's not without order. The Problem of the Many and the One; Multiplicity heading for Unity. He did it.

Can we PLEASE get a 1080 or 4K of this. Please! When I saw the quality I figured this was posted 10 years ago. But this bad and was posted 2 years ago? Love to see this in at least 720. Jerry is one of the best musicians in the history of music. Sadly this video was taken when he wasn’t doing so well.

You know how 'they' say that comedians are, deep down, in their private, alone time, some of the saddest people on the planet? Hence the saying "the tears of a clown"? Well, I think musicians take this concept and run away with it. I think, for most musicians, especially those that get famous, they carry around the largest double edged sword the world has EVER seen. The problem is, most fans and people, in general, never SEE this fact. As fans, most of us are too busy reveling in the experience and the music and just lost in having our own good time. Not that fans should be faulted for this...and I'm sure, positive actually, that most bands, especially a band like the GD, this is exactly what they would WANT their fans to be doing. But, it doesn't take a lot of effort, for those willing to try, to step outside oneself for just a few minutes and TRY to imagine the constant, sharp dualities these famous musicians must experience on a daily basis...especially when touring. Ex: they are ALWAYS, not once in a while, up when most people are sleeping and sleeping when most people are at there day jobs. Then, every concert is an avalanche of love and adoration from fans. An outpouring of love not many will EVER experience, but, after the concert is over and everyone goes home they find themselves, eventually, either completely alone in a hotel room struggling to deal with the extreme shift of scenario OR, If they aren't alone, at some point, in the cold light of day, when they awaken from their late night parties followed by restless and sporadic sleep, they are wishing they HAD been alone. These are just the "G" rated examples. Can anyone, other than these wandering souls, truly relate to what this must start doing to a person after a while? It's the worst example of a Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde existence I can possibly imagine. Deep down I KNOW I could NOT do it...at least not for very long without starting to go off the rails, just on the emotional level alone. It should be NO surprise then that we lose so many musical icons at such young ages nor WHY this seems to happen to so many of them. Sadly, Jerry was just another casualty of this lonely existence. It actually breaks my heart because I don't know where I'd be without music to calm my soul and people like Jerry who were willing to make these sacrifices in order to bring music to the people. Many thanks to all who have made the sacrifice.

If there was on time and place to go back in time to fully experience a free form scene, it would be 1965-66 and the Acid Tests.

Wait this is from 95? May 95? Can’t be. If so this interview is truly amazing. Jerry must have really prepared for this for days trying not to use much. Because holy shit he actually sounds really good for May 95. Could that date be wrong? Is this more like summer 94? I mean look up the supposed “final interview” which was like a month later. If this date is correct. He almost appears to be a different person in that interview. Hunched over and looking so frail. This has to be 94.
