From listening to HTM's shoot interviews, Jerry didn't do him any favors before his WWF days even though they were kin... treated him even less than some other workers... I think that's where HTM's beef comes from and I tend to believe him more than Jerry. As Wayne seems like a more honest straight shooter type guy in his interviews and has no reason to lie about it.
@grantorino20094 жыл бұрын
I don't know about this. Wayne was a pretty big star in Memphis way before his WWF days. He drew a lot of heat as a heel and sold some seats.
@mysteryjunkie98083 жыл бұрын
It’s wrong for him to get mad and expect Jerry to do him favors in the business. I know nepotism is a thing in the WWE but Wayne shouldn’t have felt so entitled to it. I mean Lawler didn’t even help is son much when he was in the WWE.

@@Idkwhattoput-p2s I thought it was just Edge he did that to? Y'know, as much as a lot of us adored that era, doesn't mean we have to romanticise the people involved. People here know what a "Shoot" is, but the outside world doesn't. Those ppl will laugh when I say that there is a rich history involving pro wrestling, mma, Brazilian Jiu jitsu, Judo, Japanese fighting, and a folk story behind it all that ties all of those things together. In fact, one of the best fighters ever, known as the Graycie Killer, was a pro wrestler from Japan, who trained those types of moves primarily. Catch as catch can is the name it all derives from, and it originated in England of all places. There's a great video on it, and you don't even have to be a fan of WWE, MMA, or any of it to get a real sense of historical enjoyment from it all.

Old school wrestlers talk a lot of crap. The thing is wrestlers can express any opinion that they want and they use the “it was a work” safety net whenever a time comes that they need to take back what they said. It’s pathetic and the line between reality and fiction is typically quite apparent.

This really doesn't surprise me. Wayne talks shit about a lot of people just as a work. Look at how much he buries Hogan, and they're buddies in RL.
