Lucio thanks for sharing, and I have the DVD of Hail Hail Rock and Roll and certainly glad most of this interview was not part of it. Jerry does not want to be here doing this interview and drinking whiskey is not helping. As fans and collectors we want everything about our heroes. I know the film was about Chuck Berry, but saying Elvis turned into Bing Crosby because he sang ballads is unfair. Elvis had the voice to do ballads and any type of music. Then toward the end he states Elvis was his friend and no one wanted to follow him.

Jerry was indeed full of contradictions especially in front of a camera. I do agree that the best parts of the interview were used on the original Chuck film. I remember seeing it at the theatre when it first came out and then getting the great 4 disc dvd set.

I don't know where it could have gone. Jerry was talked a lot like this the first time I met him back in 1987. Brings back strange yet exciting memories.
