His faithful lieutenant Kenny Lovelace keeps a watchful eye on everything as always. One of the finest musicians that few people have ever heard of. Without him, Jerry Lee would not have lasted they way he has. Thank you, Kenny for keeping him going .....

WOW!! I sat here both listening intently - and even shedding a few tears, not because I am sad but ones of joy for the "Killer" who gave so much to rock and roll and country music as well. Here he is at 82 and still going strong, and I just got up to give him another standing ovation for the great songs he recorded in a style that will never be matched. Old age may have caught up and slowed him down, but man he is still goin' strong - and most definitely with "A Whole Lot of Shakin' Going On!"

Saw him at Myrtle Beach a few years back. Most of us in the crowd were dated from the 50s but were hopping when Jerry Lee stood up and kicked back that bench during Great Balls of Fire. It's one thing to pump out the words like he does but it is a very special talent to play like he does and do them both at the same time. Thanks!

When I was 14 47 years ago I bought my first Jerry Lee Lewis record, it was Killer Rocks On. Still my favorite. I saw only a dozen or so shows with Jerry Lee but I had the pleasure of touring a couple of times as photographer with Linda Gail, his sister, and her two lovely daughters. Never got to meet the old man though and guess I surpassed the chance now as time withers all. 90% of all music I listen to is Jerry Lee, can't get off the hook! Wish you a happy next 47 years and hope you still enjoy the best phraser of all. Bella ... goes well with my daughters name Stella, she is 14! Greetings from Denmarks JLL fan no. 1.

I commented on this years ago, but since finding out about his passing I would like to post again. I remember this concert very well. It was the last time that I got to see Jerry Lee live. He put on such a phenomenal show. He always gave it his all. I was sitting at a table right near Jerry and his piano and I will never forget it. He will always be a legend. Thank you for posting and keeping this footage up. It's great to be able to relive it again. Rest in peace Jerry.

Thanks for the comment. It was an incredible time- my first JLL concert. Such an intimate venue and so much fun. My wife and I flew up from Florida that day for the concert and home the next day. We made friends and got to celebrate Jerry’s Bday with his family. Amazing time and wonderful memories! Such an incredible loss of a legend.

True King? I highly doubt that! But everyone is entitled to their own opinion. But Jerry Lee was jealous as hell of the true king of rock..Elvis! So much so, that on the night of November 23rd, 1976, Jerry Lee showed up at the gates of Graceland drunk, angry, and armed, demanding to see Elvis! He had told the gate guard that he was there to "shoot the king", and them's exact words! What messed Jerry's career up, was screwing and marrying his own cousin! How twisted is that? But I will give credit where credit is due, Jerry Lee was "The Killer" om a piano, and he did record some great songs, but he shot how own career in the ass by marrying Myra. I sincerely wish Jerry well, and I hope and pray he drops in on cousin Jimmy in Baton Rouge to see cousin Jimmy, and gives his heart to Jesus, before the devil get's his ass!
