I've been listening to Jerry Lee's other version of this song for at least 20 years. In this version, starting from 2:58, Jerry Lee again sings his NEVENENEVENEBUHAVEDABLUES word plays that I love sooooo much, and I think to myself, "YOU'RE THE KING, MAN" (KRAL in my non-English language) but then I think of Elvis and say "well, I have to call Jerry Lee something other than King (Yeah, I know, Killer). Then at that moment (3:06) Jerry Lee says THINK ABOUT IT ELVIS! Oh my god!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)))))))))))))

@bailbath10 жыл бұрын
I think JLL is an acquired taste. Some people get it some people don't. A lot of people are ignorant of the brilliance of JLL's output 1. because it's usually Great balls/Shakin played if he's ever played at all 2. negative press often untrue 3. perception of southern folks by people who prefer stereotypes. Luckily we don't fall into any of those categories.

@PaulGaston882 жыл бұрын
They always had a friendly competition, except the one night Jerry Lee was drunk and came up to the gates of Graceland demanding to see Elvis. There's all kinds of stories about that night in November 1976, but he did not drive up there and point a gun at them. He did have a gun on the dash, but it was a gift given to him by the owner of the Vapors club where he had come from. He told Jerry Lee to leave it on the dash or else he would get into trouble for conceal weapon. So he pulls up, wants to see Elvis and there the guards were at the window of the car and they asked Jerry Lee about the gun...Jerry Lee says, "No, I didn't come up here to shoot Elvis, but if you're that stupid then maybe I did 🤣 So after some more pleasant conversation, they pull Jerry Lee out of the car and he spent the night in jail. Elvis called that morning and they let Jerry Lee out, but they say they never saw each other before Elvis died. But you hear Jerry Lee say, "think about it Mickey, think about it Jimmy in other songs.
