The quality of his voice was at its highest during this period of his career. This would have been one of his greatest recordings but for the lack of a pedal steel guitar accompaniment. Wish someone would dub one in on a re-record.

This is an awesome song! Wonder why it was never released on anything in the U.S.? The lead acoustic guitar work is really premium on this btw. Vocals were outstanding as well. Just an all-around great tune for Jerry!

Yes! I have been a Killer fan for a long, long time and have never heard this. I have also been a pro guitarist for 50+ years, and I don't know, but the guitar track that you mentioned sounds like it could almost (if not for certain) be Willie N. up behind him???

I was expecting a countrified version of the classic pop song from 1956, written by Jule Styne, Betty Comden, and Adolph Green. Jerry would have been so great on this version! Perhaps he did record it. Take most any classic pop up-tempo song and have JLL sing it country style, with fiddles and a pedal steel guitar, and let the magic happen! Liked this version! 👍👏😃😃😃😃😄
