@russell24495 жыл бұрын
Well see, there's people in Nashville who actually know the facts, ie that he first screwed and then eventually married his 13 year old cousin, so being an incestuous pedophile kinda rubs a lot of people the wrong way. He was also quite violent, shot and almost killed a man, and quit probably killed one of his ex-wives, so yeah Jerry Lee was basically a piece of shit who made great music.
@sesenmaister4 жыл бұрын
@Russell You cannot tell shit about his music. His private life is not his music. Mostly morons mix art with private life. If it's a politics thing to be in the Country Music Hall Of Fame, you're right. If it's about music, art, sorry 2+2 are 4

Thank god for youtube, this man is one of the best country singers, ...in those days you could recognise a singer just by his/her voice...these days you don't know uf its a nan or women singing, they all sound the same...and every song back then had a begining a middle and an end like a story...todays music is dead before it gets off the ground, i think there will be a great revival in old style music, country and pop, and people will be crying out for the old style of entertainment....1960/70s is where I'm at

Why is this great singer not in the Country Hall of Fame before he dies? Between 1968 and 1977, Lewis had 17 Top 10 hit singles on the Billboard country chart, including four chart toppers. The answer is that he never played to the old country crowd and now he is too old fashioned for the pop country fakes.
@glencoe63058 жыл бұрын
The Country Music Hall of Fame,only elects 3 new members each year. They Vote on Popularity,and who has contributed to The Nashville Music area, as well as the Charts,and how much it sold. You are right about it. Alot of performers who should've been(1940s) elected,and missed by few Votes,are now not known to those on the Election Board,today.So,they don't even make the List. Now the oldest era that makes the Cut,is from the 1960s. Taylor Swift & Carrie Underwood,will be in the Hall,before others who've paved the way,and paid their dues. They need to elect 5 a year,instead of 3. Be Fair to all.

Well a couple of traditionalist Country have made it in the hall of fame and their names are Alan Jackson and Randy Travis. They are not fake Country by any means.
