His fingers do the talking - the brilliant Jerry Reed RIP🥰

Jerry Reed was an amazing , underrated guitarist and actor. He was one of those guitarist like Roy Clark, that was humble to a fault about their gifts. Old guys like me will remember the good ones....

I was born in 87 but I grew up loving Jerry and learning to pick a guitar just because he was and is an idol of mine and American icon. RIP Georgia Wild Man

Damn. They can all sock it to him - Elvis, Cash, Dylan, all of them. They got nothin against that singing, playing and overall down-home feel. Tell em guitar!

Great footage of one of my favourite guitar pickers. I have most of his albums. Wondered if there were any photos when he recorded with Elvis in '67 and '68.

Hey Phil- was just scrolling through and listening to and viewing some of Jerry Reed’s best on your channel. I think you had several videos posted years ago that had Jerry and The Thompson Station Congregation with Johnny Gimble guesting on fiddle. I think they did 3 songs. One was a killer version of Eastbound and Down to close the show. Any chance you could post them again?

Do you have Jerry Reed's full Austin City Limits performance from 1982, which included the opening credits with music by John Mills?

Could never understand why Elvis wanted to record Guitarman. He couldn’t play a guitar anywhere close to Jerry Reed’s talent and the song was obviously written for the singer to play the guitar solos. Jerry told them it wouldn’t work to hire a straight lead guitarist because he’d tuned his guitar about five different ways to get the sound he got. Elvis found out Jerry wasn’t lying!🤣🤣
