There are a lot of debates about the best in the NFL. Who is the best QB? Manning vs Brady vs Marino vs Favre, etc. Who is the best middle linebacker? Lewis vs Singletary vs Butkus, etc. But the question of who is the greatest wide receiver of all time, Jerry Rice is the unanimous selection. The only real question is, who is the greatest player of all time and IMO, it comes down to Rice and LT.

For fun look up Rice's career playoff appearances against Bill Belichick coached Defense. Ha! I mean, not to put it on Rice. Bill just had great success against West Coast offenses in the playoffs. I remember Ty Law or Otis Smith talking about preparing for Rice's Raiders before the famous Snow Game in Foxboro. They said coach asked them "Can you cover this 15 yard area (off the line of scrimmage) and the CBs were like "Yeah." Coach said "Then we can shut them down." Definitely a weakness to the offense Rice was in his entire career that seemingly no one else understood quite like Belichick - because he dominated everyone else.
