The two players with the quickest release on their jump shots I've ever seen is Stephen Curry and Jerry West, Mr. Clutch. Jerry led the NBA in assists the year the Lakers won the title which showed what a great all-around player he was but he also averaged 43 a game in a playoff series...one of the greatest players of all-time.

@@dravendfr Drazen was a great shooter with a quick release and maybe the greatest Euro player ever outside of Dirk and Luka. However, Jerry West was on another level on both sides of the ball. Much respect to Petrovic though.

I was a Kid in the 60's , but we Knew about Jerry West , His Great Shooting , Quick Release , Making Baskets when it Really Counted ( Mr Clutch ) the Many Championship Series , Championship Games and the Loses , but we Never Blamed him for the Loses , so Jerry West , Don't take it Personal , What a Pleasure it was to see Him and the Lakers Play at the LA Sports Arena , We Knew he was 1 of the GOAT bac when he was Still Playing the Game . . .

JW would be in the lineup on many guys all time greatest team, he's still 1 of the NBA's leading scorers,the 3point line didn't exist until after he retired. 40-50% of his baskets would've been 3 pointers. Ihave a friend that played for Boston College in the late 60´s. They played West Virginia in the Eastern semi´s. He held Mr. West to 50 points. In the first half. His coach handed him his towel at the beginning of the second half and said, Great job kid. Sit down. He showed me the photos. I must add, I saw Wilt and Jerry one time. Connie Hawkins and Gail Goodrich played for Phoenix. The next month Gail was playing for The Lakers. 50 %%%% years ago.
