This lady like Wendy Williams married an awful man. My friend knew Ms Moore's assistant, who informed us of his adultery and dishonesty before he was exposed and ended up in jail. He really hurt Melba. Well he ended up in jail and Ms Moore has bounced back. What a blessing to her and continued success Mr Katt Williams.

I have had the privilege and pleasure to see (and meet) her performance at the Catalina Jazz Club in Hollywood some years back and I have to say she is the real deal. After she performed she had a meet and greet with the fans. I had brought about 15 of her CD albums and a Sharpie pen (always have one ready) and asked her to autograph all of my CDs. She was surprised that I brought all of those CDs. She was very kind, gracious and conversational. I can attest and say that Melba Moore can hold a vocal note for 31 seconds. She is a national treasure to alot of us old schoolers. Her current album "Imagine" is a great album. Love me some Melba! Thank you Sherri for having Melba Moore on your show. Please invite more of our BLACK LIVING LEGENDS on your show that we know and love. It will help your ratings for sure and it will ma kg e us viewers very happy. Melba Moore can hold a note longer than 31 seconds. On her recordings: Lean on Me and Together Forever, she held those notes longer than 31 seconds.

I just played both songs Lean On Me and Together Forever from their original albums and just to let you know the long note on Lean On Me is for 20 seconds and the long note on Together Forever is for 24 seconds. If you are referring to a live performance version than that's a different story. If that's the case I know nothing about that. I do know the album versions very well. Type in the search field on KZbin "Melba Moore Sustained A 31 Second Note" and you will see what I am talking about.
