JTBC have now released a statement saying how Snowdrop doesn't distort Korean History, but will be changing the name of Jisoo's character just in case it upsets anyone (although they assured that her character wasn't based on anyone). I just hope the drama can now continue filming peacefully, and Koreans judge it when it is released. I'm really looking forward to Jisoo's acting debut, I feel like she'll finally get a chance to shine on her own, and she's so happy filming for it as acting was her original passion. To be honest this show how Korean itself has a little interest and knowledge about jisoo as an artist to me. Mostly they just give an general public opinion, there is only two people that I think actually see her nor even know her a little bit better. I don't want to say this but when before people said her to be the next Dara, I think this is what they meant. I hope jisoo don't stay long in that company if they don't give her what she deserves. The promises will keep coming in the last time contract period but it will not be fully fulfilled at all. In the end, if she stay there she will not get her potential being fully shown. I do think this is a small percentage. However this is what the k-drama will pretty much do for her. Dara acted but definitely never starred in one of the most anticipated k-dramas of the year. This is Jisoo's year to shine. If she does well then she will gain the general public's love and support. It's tricky since the general public either loves their idol-actors (IU and others) or hates them (for example Joy from Red Velvet who I believe got unnecessary hate). It's a tough industry but the fact that she beat out well-known actresses for the role means that there is a huge chance she will gain popularity in SK outside of being just an idol, BP member, and pretty. We just have to wait. Also no one can be the next "Dara" or any 2ne1 because let's face is BP is extremely more popular than 2ne1 both globally and internationally. They just are and that's not 2ne1's nor BP's fault but YGs. She's a part of the biggest GG in the world. At the end of the day she will always be successful in whatever job route she does.
