This is my opinion as a korean myself (excuse for my english).. public do acknowledge BP but since then were not use to strong girls concept except for maybe some but as per idol group like BP there's always prejudice but we never doubt their music since we always acknowledge where they came from were Bigbang came as well. If you notice all girlgroup nowadays is going for strong girl concept and I can say that BP is the main reason for that. Aside from that as a korean myself I do appreciate artist who promote our country well, blackpink's how you like that with those hanboks were so popular in korea that even people who's not into bp knows it.. also lot of hanbok shops wants to copy it, which unfortunately was happen to a twice member recently, bp is so popular and i think one of the biggest factor aside from music is their individuality, they can go solo and it will boom.. every members is beautiful to the point all of the cosmetics brands want to sign them up..and people here is crazy over looking good (sadly) but yes blackpink is over all package that's what makes them unique.

It may also surprise you all to know that blackpink's is also popular here in Africa. At least in my country Nigeria they are popular here. Though we have a different way of staning them, like it mostly individually, u won't know that one is a fan until they tell you or you find out accidentally. K-pop is not really public like other genres of music but they still have lots of fans and mostly blackpink and bts. When I found out about kpop blackpink and bts, I used to think that I am the only one that knows about them but I was surprised when I knew that most of my classmates and friends knows them and Stan's them especially blackpink when they so me watching one of their mv's. So Blackpink are really the biggest girlgroup, they are my favorite kpop group and Lisa is my bias tho I love all of them.
