The thing is… it’s not a matter of price. Companies could make all damn phones have a replaceable battery. But that means less profit in the future by making you buy a new phone when your battery stops lasting as long as before, so they hit two birds with one stone. Sell you a new device so then they can keep up with planned obsolescence.
@gabriel_141796 ай бұрын
It would've. Removable batteries require a protective casing to avoid puncture, beffier connectors, identifier and communication circuitry. Even if battery was removable you were not going to swap it often.... Backup as well as charging speed is so good nowadays... It's only after 2 or 3 years you will need to replace it which will take only a few minutes as you only have to unscrew a few screws and pull it up..... So it is better to keep it glued firmly placed... Then why people are disappointed... It's just stupid...

Technically it's removable. Just take the tape out and shove it back in.

I dunno man, people always say this, but I don’t think people really want to go back to those days. Even when we could replace batteries, did you? Some people probably did, but most didn’t. I never did. They just charged them anyways. And I think everyone was getting really tired of phones falling apart every time it fell off a table. Not to mention you lose the waterproofing. I feel pretty neutral about the loss of the replaceable battery

It's a real shame they didn't make the battery easily replaceable. Sure it's way easier than on most phones but they should have done that at least. I will never pick a phone because I can change the color of it although it's a nice feature.

I'm a phone repairer, and on Nothing's defense, they have kept replacing the battery VERY easy to be honest. they probably just don't encourage it for everyone, because phone batteries have gotten wayyy better over the years, and people don't need to hot-swap a spare battery in like for cameras; and also for warranty issues.

Remember that this phone is still easier to repair, or swap/change battery, while it is also easy to mod by adding a powerbank case or some kind of 3d printed backplate, which is cool.
