Thanks for making the video. Helped me open up mine to repair a damaged lens. If anyone is planning on opening up theirs, don’t fully remove the 4 screws on the back. Leave them protruding slightly when you unscrew them. You can use them to help push the camera out of the housing. Put the whole thing on a firm bench with the camera pointing the ceiling, then push the housing firmly down against the 4 screws on the bench. The camera should start popping out. That way you won’t damage the front black plastic!

Zack, you should also take a look at wireless-battery-solar-powered Reolink Security Cameras. I was previously doing a bunch of research on security cameras and was conflicted among Argus, Eufy, and Reolink; the problem with most of these cameras is that they REQUIRE your internet to be online the entire time, so all a potential trepasser has to do is cut off your internet via wire cutting or disrupting and you will lose access to your security. Reolink appears to be the only one that doesn't have this security flaw that can be exploited of requiring an internet access to still continue recording, and still no subscription whatsoeer on top o zero maintenance with the solar panel.

I picked up that same exact camera pack.. I also got the rubber protection sleeves that go around them. I picked up the flood light (hard wired) for my garage and that thing is amazing also it’s super bright and they’ve all worked flawlessly. I have them set for better surveillance rather than battery life. Even with that setting they still last 3-4 months before I have to charge them. Great video!!

I have the original EufyCam, and it really is a good system. I have one mounted above the front door, and one above the garage. Installed September of 2019, and I've only had to recharge the garage cam once, because of more activity. If you install the cam near a light source, you dont have to use night mode.

My security setup is ip cameras that only require a small power cable. The video is transmitted wirelessly. My cameras record 24/7 and the video is saved on my server that runs 24/7 anyway. The cameras only cost $30 and the server cost about $60. The data is all stored on a hard drive and can be accessed whenever I want. I prefer 24/7 recording because the motion detection isn't always accurate and my garden has lots of trees and moving objects. Overall, my setup is pretty much fit and forget. The cameras have a permanent supply from the mains.

I like these Eufy cameras better than Ring. The setup is simple and easy and I like the fact you can place the camera up high to really capture your whole backyard (or front yard). we opted out on buying a security cam for a very long time due to security concerns, but we bought this particular security camera because of this review, and I wish we waited a little longer. I was curious about the Eufy app and what it does in the background, so I installed Netguard and it scared me to see so many different servers the app connects to, and I saw one that was going to China. please don't take my word for it, try it for yourself! I think tech product reviews that deals with our privacy should go deep to address potential security concerns. the time this review was released, eufy lacked 2FA which they rolled out not that long ago. I'm not saying Eufy is bad, but the lack of transparency on what the app does in the background, particularly when it uses AI in its software, should be something we all need to be concerned about. it's my fault for not researching more about the product before making the purchase, but Jerry did such an amazing job showcasing the products amazing features, making the purchase an easy decision at the time. lesson learned!

I tried this model in my house and I recommend older base station (wider model) instead. It has a significant louder alarm and a build in battery in case the power drops.

I have purchased wireless battery camera with solar panel. charged fully once and installed (over garage door) since August 2020, still shows battery 100%.

It's normal. My house security camera has audio approximately same quality but It's not like Just charge and use.

I've had my eufycam 2's set up for about a year now. For the one cam the faced toward the street where somewhat frequent people and car traffic cam around our cul-de-sac, I'm seeing about 2-3 months of battery life. For the cams that watch the driveway and doors, where semi-frequent traffic (cars pulling into the driveway, people walking in and out of the house), I'm seeing about 6 months. NOTHING near the claim of 1 year. Just be advised.
