2:35 I've owned this phone for a good while now, it has seen lots of typing and rubbing against things in my pocket. I use no case or screen protector. Keys do not fade, or rub down. They still look pristine. For anyone still wondering if that would be an issue :)

@@TheMichbo I've got black. Also, recently I've spilled a glass of water on it. Fortunately enough, it didn't seem to do anything. There was lots of water in the keyboard itself, but I left it overnight rolled into toilet paper and it all evaporated. It still works just fine. It doesn't have an official water resistance rating, but they've certainly done something to prevent moisture going inside through keyboard. Very durable device indeed.

I'm not really concerned about the other keys because they all have a rubber mat underneath them which seals off any liquid or particles, but the spacebar does have an unprotected ribbon cable due to the fingerprint sensor being there

Vishwadeep Sonawane it wouldn’t make a difference since the keys are glued on and they only respond to the pressure, the back panel behind the glue is the actually key so unless blackberry wanted to integrate a whole new keyboard system more like an actual keyboard the cherrymx wouldn’t change a thing, but to be totally honest I would buy the phone if it had a full on keyboard.

Had my Key2 for about 4 months now. It's my productivity phone and the battery life is pretty impressive even though I'm using it for a full 12 hours a day with multiple apps running continuously. They enlarged the keyboard and now it's pretty close to being perfect. The processor and chipset are much better (than the Key1) and there's no clitching. They didn't upgrade the WiFi chip to 802.11 AC Wave 2 standard which means WiFi performance is limited to about 200 Mbps max which was dissapointing. I call it "The Tank" because it's very difficult to damage and it feels very solidly built. It's definitely NOT a fragile media consumption device like most smartphones these days and that's why I bought it. 👍
