Jersey Coastguard tide awareness video for Seymour Tower

It is easy to get caught out by the rising tide in Jersey, where a spring tide can rise up to one metre in 20 minutes.
This safety video offers some simple steps to help you to stay safe when exploring the coast.
If you find yourself in trouble, search for higher ground. Don’t try to wade out, or try to outrun the sea, as you can easily be caught out by the fast-incoming tide.
In an emergency, call 999 and ask for the Coastguard. Help will be on the way.
