3:59 I assume that the reason for the character randomly becoming 3D is for one of 2 reasons 1) They rotoscoped over 3d models to make animating the character easier, but forgot to draw over the last frame (this one is less likely since 3D animation, especially for a small niche studio, wasn't advanced or fluid enough to make good "cartoony" animation to draw over) 2) It was supposed to be an odd transition from film to game graphics after the lightning bolt, similar to that one bit from the Lord of the rings two towers game, but it ends up looking odd since only the character and nothing else changes.

I do have a soft spot for that Warners 90s animation, it sometimes could get very bouncy depending on the studio, but if done well it had a wonderful sense of weight and movement. And I love the games of that time which had animated cutscenes like that. Reminds me of Toonstruck or Braindead 13. Wonder why they replaced it in the Japanese release. Did they think Japanese gamers wouldn't appreciate it? Also what's up with sliding segments in games of that time anyway? Why were they so popular? And, different game, but that "Caligula + Everyone" graffiti from Gex is hilarious.
