Hello Jersey Jeff Eats Foodies! I'm back in Atlantic City to finally stop by Chickie's and Pete's at the Tropicana Hotel and Casino on the iconic Atlantic City Boardwalk! I've been saying I'm going to stop in for a few years now and I finally did this weekend! Join me for lunch as I enjoy Chickie's & Pete's famous Crabfries and cheese sauce. Finally Jeff you made it to Chickie's and Pete's 😅. I've been suggesting it for a long time. If you love seafood and I do it's a must. I've hadn't tried the crab cakes yet but my go to is the snow crab legs in that garlicky butter, the peel and eat shrimp and clams casino..yum .

Wow, you finally stopped in here! First off, they are CRAB fries not crabby fries lol. Speaking of those crab fries, I think you should try them at least one more time. Maybe you just got a bad batch or something because the cheese sauce just might be my favorite part about getting them. You’re right about them usually being… Not crispy. Maybe if you ask for them crispy, they will do it? Maybe then you would like them more haha.

Jeff, have you ever had the crab cakes at the Plaza in Vegas? a lot of people say they got the best in town. I don't know since I don't eat crabs. if yes, did you like them? the name of the restaurant in the plaza is Oscars.

I've eaten at Oscars but I have not tried the crab cakes. The restaurant is as iconic as the man. Oscar is a former mayor of Las Vegas and a former mob attorney! His wife is the current mayor of Las Vegas, a crazy unbelievable story. Oscar is even in the movie Casino as himself. I would love to read a book or see a movie about this couple! I stopped by recently and will show the Plaza in a video soon! Thanks Richard!

Caesars and Hard Rock now give points for dining at their restaurants. Any idea whether Chuckies is owned by Caesars or not? For example KWI restaurant at caesars AC is owned by caesars.

my roommate loves, just loves, King Cobra 24oz, so it's funny when we go out to Applebee's and he keeps asking for a "King Cobra". He never went to a restaurant as a child, so it's a whole new experience at age 72. It's funny! I once dated someone who kept asking me what time it was. There's clocks all over my apartment. I finally lost it and said "look, there's clocks there and there. Why do you keep asking me? Just look at the clocks." He said, "I don't know how to tell time." It was true! Some people never learned how to hold a pencil! It's hard for us to accept

@@tinaduncan72 I used to have a microwave, and it broke and one thing from aging you get is "I have all these appliances and kitchen gadgets and if I'm going to be skinny, I should not use any of this" Around the age of 30, you should only have a piece of salmon and a half of an avocado and 5 walnuts. In any case, I went to AC (I'm 60years old), and they had a microwave, which I haven't owned in 20 years. This was some sleezy place off Atlantic Av. But I liked the place for wild sex. In any case, I bought those frozen White Castle cheeseburgers, and they were better than ever in the microwave. Also Polish Kielbasa is extra special in the microwave. You can fall in love with a little hot plate! My suggestion, what happens in Vegas can happen in Atlantic City and live a little, because God gave you a gift and you deserve it

I'm a native Marylander, too; live in New York City, and the crab cakes here are expensive, but the greatest city on earth knows nothing about crab cakes like you and I do. They have to make them spicy, at best, so you can't see that they don't know what they're doing. Meanwhile, back home there's a competition for the best and it's a very worthwhile competition, don't you think?!

Yup! She got divorced a few years ago and took back her name (Ms. Rabinowitz) She later married a celebrity chef and became Mrs. Rabinowitz-Flay.
