I've said this on another podcast. The only thing that matters is that the Miami Heat deemed it appropriate that Udonis Haslem"s jersey be retired. It's not totally dependent on points, rebounds, assists, steals, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera.... It appears that his contributions in addition to the aforementioned were necessary and needed to promote the Culture that apparently were needed. With all due respect to Paul Pierce, UD's jersey is not going to be hanging in the Boston Gardens or for that matter Paul Pierce's house! So enough of the sideline sniping and I hope that Mr. Haslem enjoyed his night!

I still remember with like 1 min on the clock, game 3 2006 and UD is on the FT line after going 0-4FT, the score was MIA 92 DAL 93. UD made both FT and we won 98-96 on a defensive play with D Wade getting the tip stopping an inbound lob that would have tied. I was the happiest I had ever been and I am the same age as UD. Heat Lifers remember. ⚓🔥🏆🏆🏆 Hmmmm, now I think about it... Did Spo use the same play (Gabe to Jimmy) to tie vs the Bucks in 2023 in the same exact scenario to get to OT???!!!!! Nah... 👀
