I genuinely love the new Ducks logo more than the original. The biggest difference to me is the “holes” within the mask. They’re bigger and they contour to the bends of the mask! Really adds a different dimension to the iconic logo! Fantastic redesign!

I think thickening the stroke on the mask, removing unnecessary outlines, straightening the stick blades and highlight/shadows are all great improvements too. It really feels like the old logo but looks sleeker imo. Also I feel it looks pretty good against orange

Absolutely love the Ducks rebrand. I am a diehard Stars fan but live in OC now. Will definitely be picking up a new jersey when they launch. As an OC resident I'm so glad they are leaning into OC as a market. The Angels do themselves such a disservice trying to half heartedly hitch themselves to LA.

I don't think the on ice jerseys were ever at risk, when it was stated that the factory in Canada will still be utilized. It's what the fan options are, and we've seen their low end output for years at this point, and where Fanatics reputation really derives from. (MLB debacle not withstanding.) Despite the promise of being provided actual, on ice authentics made by that very same factory in Canada, where it was never offered before. Is that factory even capable of a retail demand?

I was disappointed with this too. The classic spoked B looks a lot better imo. Put that on the uniforms they’re going back to but obviously change the sparkly gold to the normal gold. I would also like yellow socks to return on the home uniforms too. Might not make sense but it’s just a Bruins thing🤷‍♂️

I love those winter classics because it pays homage to their 1924 inaugural season and just look super clean. All updated in Fanatics fabrics

I hope that the sizing is a tad bit bigger or at least the Authentic Pro has the option for a goalie cut. I like my jerseys loose and a size 60 adidas was way too tight and the sleeves went half way up my arm.

I like the Ducks rebrand a lot. It’s what I wish more teams who want to go retro should do. Modernize it enough that it’s different yet still keeps the mold of the original. One thing is I wish the shoulders were black, just to break up the orange, the same issue I have with Nashville. The Kings should have used that logo with new colours, the matte helmets are cool though.

Love the Kings and Ducks rebrands. The new, bolder letters in the Kings logo somehow make more sense to me now that I see it on the front of a jersey, while it looked a little strange to me when it was revealed. But as for the jerseys... this actually doesn't look bad at all. Like everyone, I was super pessimistic about the Fanatics takeover, but your videos helped calm my nerves, and now I'm actually excited for this change. The only thing I'm worried about now is the price. I basically stopped collecting jerseys soon after Adidas took over, because they just became too expensive for me, and I didn't think the Fanatics versions were worth the lower price. The only jerseys I buy nowadays are the Penguins special jerseys, and that'll probably continue. Looking forward to getting the new ones, but I don't think I will collect any other team like I used to.

Any update on whether the fit itself of the new fanatics will be same as the outgoing adidas? The current fanatics breakaway jerseys are sized generically (S.M.L.XL.etc) but the adidias had more precise and refined measurements (42, 44, 46, 50, etc,). Also, the adidas jerseys were more fit under the armpit area and tapered to the body immediately, whereas the fanatics breakaway jerseys had a lot of extra fabric under the armpit and tapered down later (presumably for the everyday fan body/shape?) In other words, if one likes the fit of the adidas jerseys, should one order now before the adidas jerseys become unavailable, or can one wait to order a fanatics new NON-breakaway jersey and assume the fit will be the same as the adidas jerseys? The ANA home jersey is missing 1 or 2 outline colors overall, feels like the designers hesitated on finalizing. The flow from white to orange works most of the time but the value color of the orange is a few tones off for the best separation option of having both those colors next to each other.

The Ducks have definitely upped their look. There's almost an instant-classic feel to the updated logos and jersey. The Kings improved too - I really like the refreshed logo, but seeing them in the purple and gold the past couple of years with the Adidas Reverse Retro sweaters has spoiled me. I can't believe they're insisting on the black, silver and grey colour palette, but that is just me complaining lol. I'll miss the Bruins centennial jerseys a lot, as it was a really sharp look. I already the Adidas shoulder dimples - for whatever the reason, it was my favourite part of the sweaters. The new holographic NHL badge on the collar looks great though! I'm remaining optimistic as the sweaters roll out under Fanatics, and this video has eased some nervous about how they'd look. Amazing work as always Chris!

I see no reason why it wouldn't be Indonesia again, as it has been for nearly two decades. With all the suppliers they use for lower tier-replicas, who knows how supply-chain logistics will be planned for the new lineup. Nobody would be surprised to see Fanatics attempt even cheaper manufacturing for everything that isn't Made in Canada though.

What worries me is the photo from the Kings today with Drew Doughty shows stitching falling apart around the arm numbers. For a staged photo shoot showing off not only the revamped logo but also the new Fanatics tarps, it’s really bad especially if it happened just by him putting it on. Cant imagine what will possibly happen when they see game use.

The mask is almost flawless. That far cheekbone is a little too big. The lineweights are finally consistent, it looks very satisfying. The highlight and also the tape on the sticks could use a little more work. I'd also try it without the black circle, because it makes me question the alignment of the mask. Otherwise it's pretty cool, I'm happy that they're returning to that look, it's super fun. I'm also a fan of this color scheme, I'd take it over the purple any day. The secondary logo and the type are both stepdowns. I don't know, it feels like they just got a reminder like half hour before the deadline, that they should do them too. Jerseys are solid.

I love Icethetics, and the passion & effort that Chris puts in. I miss alternate versions of dark & white jersey logos. I was hoping Boston & Anaheim would return to this classic beautiful treatment style, but both now have an identical logo for home & away 😢. The Wild Wing mask is overdue! Woot! The "illuminated" eye-hole seems odd on an empty mask though (seriously, compare old & new, you'll see), but it also resembles the Kraken's "red eye" too much too me. Alas, a small gripe, but do I hope they revise the proportions between the circle and the triangle in a future update, as the circle seems to overwhelm currently - I may be biased due to familiarity with the original. Do modern kids even know what that mask is supposed to be? 🤔. Finally, with LA & Vegas using sparkle fabric, it seems a deliberate choice the Ducks avoided to stay different.

Gotta give an A, maybe A+ for the Ducks rebrand. I love that, for once, we see a team take risks in a rebrand after years of teams only slightly tweaking old favourites (see: Sabres, Sens, Flames, Pens, Coyotes, etc.) I still hope for a purple alternate in the future, but I'm excited to see the Ducks on the ice with full orange. The orange pants will help to differentiate them from the Flyers, and I expect to get used to it quickly like I did with the all-teal Sharks uniform. On top of that, the numbers are absolutely gorgeous, and the redesign logo makes the retro one tame in comparison.

Love the Ducks updates to the logo & while the OG’s will always be my preference, they did a really nice job with the overall design. Just wished they’d go black helmets/pants. Well, most of those are the same and because of that not really something to fuss over. But we do have two new one and OH BOY!! I absolutely love those ducks uniforms! I’m a sucker for retro and that logo is just iconic to me and so, so cool! Also: that orange is gorgeous! I love how bright and bold it is. Really does remind me of California, summer, the sun and all that good stuff. The stripes nicely break it up so it isn’t an entire wall of orange. And on the white one it works really nicely too! And those orange helmets are ridiculous and fun. The kings jersey however isn’t entirely to my liking. I really like the new logo and and the numbers design. The jersey itself is alright too, I’m just not the biggest fan of the color scheme in general. But what really kinda throws me off are the stripes at the bottom. On the black jersey the white and silver stripes contrast nicely with the background but kinda mush together cause they’re too close in color?! And on the white jersey the silver kinda blends into the white?! Maybe a thin third line in contrasting color would have helped? But all in all those are solid jerseys and designs and I think we can maybe all breathe a bit easier now. Thanks as always for your speedy and great report!
