Get the Havre de Luxe hardware protectors, spray the vachetta with Apple Guard or Collonil NanoPro and you’re good to go. Rain resistant, stain proof for the bag and scratch proof for the hardware, mine looks perfect after two years of frequent use.

I lost my best friend of 32 years last year..she was the friend that did everything "right" , worked hard, saved saved saved, rarely ever spent $ on herself. Worked out daily, gave up all her "vices" , coffee, diet coke, etc, was obsessed with getting in her "10,000" steps every day. A year ago she went out for a walk after dinner, it was Sept so still very daylight , walking along on the sidewalk about 500 meters from her house, a drunk drivers looses control of his vehicle hits her and killed her. She had just turned 55. She never got to reap any of the rewards from her life of being so cautious and saving and working out a little obsessively. Her death has left me broken but I have taken away many things from her death. I am no longer waiting for that "special occasion" to wear my fun "Dior" Esq, pleated black skirt...I went to a little function at my local mall / beauty counters a month ago. I dug out that fun skirt, paired it with a cool print tee, rocked some awesome boots...I also never wear, threw on a black leather moto jacket I also...never wear...I don't know where I thought I had to go to wear these things I loved, which is why I bought them...but I just kept pushing them aside for my regular jeans/ chinos, slides and a hoody/sweater. No more. I also used my best LV bag and I did not worry for a second about getting it dirty etc. I didn't worry about "will I be over dressed" . No more. Her death has to mean something, I realized that my grief was going no where until I began to make changes in my own life as a result of her loosing her life. So,! Wear the bag, if you bought it because you really loved it, then wear it and feel good about using it :)

I had both as well - I couldn't decide which I liked better mainly because of the black coated leather on the Reverse (I'm very picky about my LV's since I'm not a fan of the vachetta/patina and it has to go with the bag perfectly or it's a hard pass for me). I only wore it once and ended up using my Monogram way more because it went with my outfits more. I ended up selling my Reverse on the pre-loved market, and also had the vachetta colored black and now it is my most used bag (aside from my Neonoe in damier azur)!

Hi!!! I have the regular monogram canvas and then I have two of the bicolor Empreinte in black and the color Arizona which is the butterscotch color! I really want to add the reverse to my collection as well so it’s always so great to hear the pros and cons! I love the Pochette Métis, it’s one of my most worn bags. I don’t like the canvas though. When you are paying those sorts of prices you want your bag to look luxurious and canvas just doesn’t. For me it’s empriente all the way. I am also in the hate it camp with the reverse monogram. I can’t get over the dirty caramel.
