JESÚS MOLINA Eldar Tribute | Keyscape Sessions

We were absolutely blown away when 20 year old Colombian pianist phenom Jesús Molina played this amazing piece, featuring the Classical patch of the LA Custom C7 from Keyscape!
This improvisational tribute is based on two Eldar Djangirov compositions, "Lullaby Fantazia" and "Insensitive", both from Eldar's album "Virtue".

I feel like people take music like this for granted because they hear music like this all the time like in the store or in a movie but people back in the old days the only time they got a chance to hear a piano being played well is when someone was actually playing it 💯

This man musically inspires me so much.Music oozes from every pore of his body,he is unique and a master of his art. I sell pianos for a living so I know the differance between digital and the real thing but must say this has certainly narrowed the gap.Then again its all down to the player and the ability to create a musical 'feeling' from the instrument usually much harder to achieve with digital.He creates that feeling in bucket loads...Truly wonderful!

Incredible piece of music, some people are off the scale gifted musicians, This guy and Corey Henry on the Hammond Organ just blow my mind, they play unbelievably complex tunes note perfect with more ease than I could play 3 blind mice : 0 )

I agree. It's at a point now where if you create a track using Ivory, Keyscape, or Ravenscroft 275, nobody listening will know it's a sample library. Additionally, when comparing acoustic grand pianos to each other, there's always differences in tone, key action feel, and the overall character of the instruments. I feel like comparing a sample library to acoustic these days encompasses all the same nuance of comparing an acoustic to an acoustic...

I mean all that really matters is what the ears hear and what the player feels when they play. Classical players are most likely always going to want the grounded feel of being able to physically affect hammers striking strings. Pianoteq's physically modeled pianos probably come to the closest in being able to translate the range of dynamics and nuance that a classical player requires, and there seems to be a growing base of traditionally acoustic players giving their personal endorsement for it. I love Pianoteq for certain things but it's not quite there yet in terms of realism that a sample library can provide. Ravenscroft and Keyscape are a joy to play though... I much prefer playing these digital libraries over say mid-range upright acoustic pianos.

I think... If they're both recorded then pretty much yes... it has... but that's having in mind digital playing only... If you compare a real piano against a vsti ... you're actually comparing speakers vs mechanical sound production 100x100. There's just no amplifying system on earth capable of achieving such a thing
