He told a story of when he was in training his instructor saw a picture of him on stage with Soundgarden in a rock magazine and asked if it was him. When Jason confirmed it, his instructor asked him what the hell he was doing in the military.

Poor guy had schizophrenia and was missed by the entire band. Also piper at the gate of dawn and "see emily play" was extremely popular and set the band on the map. Although DSOTM did elevate them to a whole another level

Fun fact. Jason Everman was like 6'8 or 6'9. You can see in pictures of him and Krist on stage that he is noticeably taller.

Nirvana’s drummer from 1988-1990, Chad Channing, left after the first album. He also made a band with my old music teacher called before cars. :)

HOLY CRAP I WAS AT THAT NIRVANA SHOW THE PICTURE IS FROM! It was a club called DREAMERZ in Chicago, they opened up for a local band called precious wax drippings, there was about fourpeople in the crowd, itook a few photos and met the band, they gave me a copy of Bleach!

The IT guy at my school was the original drummer for an indie band called the Boo Radleys who had one really big song in the 90s. They didn't have much of a career after that one song though, so he probably made the right choice to leave them and work in IT.

Either way the point is, if he was being a dick that was treating Nirvana like it was his ticket to the top by playing what was popular at the time, hair metal, it was never gonna mesh with Kurt.

Just went and had a listen to Silence & Light (terrible name) but they are actually pretty good. They sound like they could’ve come straight out of the 90s grunge era! “Looks Like Rain” is a particularly good song.
