Kids play Call of Duty Men play Battlefield Legends play Heroes and Generals My reasoning of this is, this is the only game that my friends and I have actually had fun working together fighting in a huge battle. There is no feeling like this game has, compared to CoD or BF. In Heroes and Generals, you are one small cog fighting a war of attrition; with that idea, the game becomes the grittiest. The immersion of being led to fight an actual on going war against a bunch of other factions, feels a bit more real than what CoD or BF can produce. Plus the whole idea of being able to use whatever the standard soldier would have at their disposal adds on to the feeling this game has. But, the PTW aspect really kills it. You stop caring about the PTW portion when you have a team that you can fuck around with, because they have basically the same weapons as you. You can change your class and play as a tanker and your infantry buddies can help you fight off enemy infantry. I love the game, for the sole reason that friends make it fun.

*Recovered diary of a German pilot from World War 2* September 8, 1944 We are fighting over this damned town again. Apparently we're defending the church and the police station... again. I don't see the strategic importance of the very ruined church, but oh well. So, me and a few other pilots were sent out to assist the ground units in our recon planes, despite us being fighter pilots. We were immediately met with resistance as the soviets also decided to send recon planes, however we took care of them with little problems. But there was quite a few odd occurences during this battle. I couldn't help but notice that everytime we downed one of their planes, it would just hit the ground and explode... and then the wreckage just... vanished? We also shot down quite a flew transport planes, dropping enemy paratroopers down in the battlefield. Despite us shooting at them, they didn't attempt to escape. And when we shot them down, they just kept sending new planes. Also, apparently my bombs just kept... coming back? It's hard to explain, but everytime i dropped my planes' only bomb, it just reappeared shortly after. There was also a similiar occurence with my gunner in the back. You see, i don't normally fly with a backup gunner and didn't do it this time either. So i was really surprised when i suddenly heard the gun in the back start firing. I turned around and saw a fellow German pilot covering my tail with my backup gunner... i was puzzled as to how he suddenly had appeared in my plane. But before i could ask him, he was gone... vanished... i will try to study this further. Later into the battle, the unthinkable happended. My plane got shot down by a tank cannon, and i crash before getting a chance to jump out the plane... well atleast i thought i did. Because seconds later i was in my plane again, flying to the battlefield. I don't know if i had fallen asleep in the plane, but it felt quite real... Despite the... odd events in this battle, atleast we ended up winning. - Unteroffizier Pilot Jörg Faust

August 5th, 1943 Diary of an soviet soldier For some reason we fought the americans in Aachen today. As a recon I managed to make many kills and piss a lot of people off. I lied alone for a long time, as I suddenly heared the sound of a wrench hitting a helmet. I look behind me and see a american. The last thing I knew was he headshotting me with a wrench (which cant shoot...?) . I woke up looking down at the battle. I could watch one of our last standing soldier run a american over with a bicycle and then get shot by a tank. The battle ended, I flew up into space, and 2 minutes later im in the next battle. My life seems to be consisting of endless pain and suffering, with no way out.

I wannted to play the game on better PC I bought one and played the game for around 1month and 10 days the rest 2 years and 7 months I played the game on 15 fps 70% of the time the rest was not much more like 20 or the best 30 and this was everything on the lowest graphics sometimes it even runned around 10 or 5 fps every time I played. One of my greatest moment of this game was playing as Russian tank in my su100 against 4 to 5 king tiger but using guerrilla tactics to defeat them all one by one so beautiful

I loved the tank battles in the early days (before the disgusting tank updates), was a lot of psychology tactics as well, it was great! The big takeaway was the AT-infantry hunting tanks, when these annoying little shits were on the server you just couldn't spawn in a tank at all, it was incredibly frustrating to deal with that shit. So... good and bad I guess... but I do miss the early days in this game..... it was really good.
