XG was revealed in the same way these girls are, very hush hush but amazing dancing skill. It's endearing they are using XG songs to promote this new group when XG laid the foundation using western Hip Hop as their influence. XG is paying it forward for the next gen to now pay homage to them based on the influence that XG is making for the younger generation. I'm not sure if Simon is even being involved with this new group since he was also training producers within his company so it's possible this is a completely new team doing their own thing under his leadership. It would be crazy to think that Simon is as hands on with a new project while handling XG's first world Tour in tandem, but I wouldn't put it past him that he is involved.

Wanted to add XTRA XG #46 is the behind the scenes where the girls were figuring out the choregraphy for left right acoustic. It's a long video of them preparing their set list for their first tour concert in Osaka. The amount of involvement into their show is fascinating how much they do.

With almost 100% probability this is a new GG from XGALAX. And if we trust the assumptions of some fans, there may be a debut by spring\summer allready. There is a photo from a New Year's party where all the label employees and these girls with open faces are present. And quite expectedly, this caused a bunch of negative comments on the heads of the new girls. I hope they will endure this and give us even more interesting music and choreography. And yes, this is a concert version of Left Right, and pieces from this choreography are performed live by XG.

The general assumption is these are trainees for XGALX's next girl group. It's pretty common in the industry for trainees to do songs from their seniors so this fits. They were also speculated as backup dancers for XG during one of their Japan shows, I can't remember which, to help them get some stage experience. What really convinced everyone was the 7 girls in question were in the group picture of XGALX's end of the year Christmas party next to XG, faces revealed, and they look pretty young. So maybe their a few years away from debut. In terms of the fanbases's reception, it's split. One half says its too soon and want Simon to focus only XG, saying XG is paying for the next group while the other half are impressed and open this new group with open arms. Personally, I'm indifferent and wasn't too excited with Howling but Left Right changed my opinion. I'm curious to see how they develop now.

Actually I wouldn't be surprised if some might be the same age as Maya and Kokona. Koko from izna is 18 and she was a trainee for 2 years under xglax. I read that she was a trainee from 2020 to 2022 or 2023.

I saw that photo and I don't believe they were in that photo. The group looked to be the female and the male staff members. Simon wouldn't want to reveal the trainees faces before the actual debut. In both cover dances, the trainees wear the veils to hide the faces. Why would he just show the trainees in a group photo?

We have no idea if this is an official group and I personally think XGALX is testing the waters. Simon hasn’t officially confirmed they’re trainees or anything just hashtag XGALX so we have to wait and see. I also noticed they weren’t as “clean” but it’s hard to capture the same vibe as the original, can’t wait to see them again (if they do debut as is) performing their own songs.

I always appreciate your wonderful breakdowns! These covers were released while XG was on a 20 day break(well deserved). I wonder if this was a to keep XG talked about good or bad and to say xgalx has a group in the works. Eventually XG is gonna need a break before they burn out. They work so hard. I'm all for it if this is a new girl group from XGALX. As we can clearly see they are very talented dancers. There's no reason XGALX can't also have another group that is super talented and put out great songs and dances. I'm sure that Simon Jakops will already have people he trusts in place to produce and manage the new group. I think XG will get their big break this year with Coachella but I don't think this group is going to debut for another 1-2 years.

There are rumors that they have started working on their first full-length album. + additional shows in Japan. So I don’t think we’ll see their comeback soon, that’s logical. Unless, of course, they did have time to record the MV for "In the rain" or "Is this love".

XG does do this choreo ( most of it ) in the tour. Also good to note that XG Move 1 was originally choreographed for 8 girls 😢... and that 8 girl got cut and video released modified for 7

There is a strategic reason for why they have certain numbers within in Kpop groups. In large groups its hard for people to stand out but it allows people to blend in and the performance becomes a group effort and kind pick up the slack for those whom are weaker in certain areas. Kpop isnt just about the music but rather the marketing of Idol culture. They want fan devloping their biases. With smaller groups individuals get more attenton but they have to be good or focus on their specific roles bur you can only get so much out of 4 people. 7 seems like a sweet spot between. XG you can mix and match them all as they are capable of fullfilling any of the roles.

Sienna Lalau is also in touch with a lot of other great choreographers like... May J lee, Kiel Tutin, Rie Hata, Bada Lee, Parris Goebel, Bailey Sok, etc. Sienna could have gotten any of these to train these girls.

Both songs same group. These young ladies are trainees. Their faces won't be revealed until they debut. Same was with XG. XG Remix "Left Right" give Janet Jackson vibes "I Get Lonely" Live Performances and some of Janet Jackson smooth choreography. Wow - a full breakdown! Thanks! I hope that Simon does see this - I'd be curious if he shows it to the group for them to get an outside take on their performance. When XG performs the acoustic version in concert, they have hand or stand mics, so they don't do everything, but after going back to watch some fancams, they do a lot of it. Biggy from ladybounce always leaves a comment when Simon posted these girls. Biggy also worked with XG behind the scenes when they were learning the something ain't right choreo. So i wonder if biggy is helping with these girls.

This is just a guess on my part, but I think Simon held a competition for the new trainees and the winners got the opportunity to do these XG cover dances. Again, just a guess.

This choreo is different from XGs tour choreography. XG does not use the umbrella props, in concert XG members are featured singing solo in the beginning. Without the umbrella choreo, the movements and formations were different. I miss the Cocona and Harvey XG we certified, alpha alpha, we go ride or die part. I do think that the break/popping parts could hit harder. The circular sequence with the glove removal and toss and at the end with the iconic strut walk ending are the only parts that match the concert performance. So very nice to see a different version that could very well be a XG choreo.

Well the new group( if thats rumour ) can dance well. But remember it need to be individual by individual singing and performing extensively to be next group. Theres a lot of good dancers in South Korea. So comparison is far from ideal. They might just show their dance skill, whether Simon going to push them to next level is another if.
