I think people get upset that someone can see 7 whole different people and think they look the same and also sound the same. I think it harkens back to the “all Asians look the same” racism so I see why people get upset. Regardless of prior information I feel like people should be able to clock its a group if they were actually paying attention. Also there’s a trend of reactors not actually listening/watching and just pretending to for views so when they make mistakes like this it makes some viewers feel like they’re just using them for views and don’t actually intake what they’re watching.

I suggest, when u react to 1 of their m/v's, pair it with the corresponding dance performance video (each of their m/v's also has a dance performance video), since they're among the best girl groups in terms of dance skills also (at a dance crew lvl). Also, regarding the question: "Who attacked them?"... well, mostly korean netizens (jealous of their skills, in contrast to some of their k-pop biases & due to the long history of animosity between koreans & japanese) & some black american ignorants, who accused them of cultural appropriation (probably because they rap better than 95% of girl rappers in the USA & UK), not knowing that they genuinely love the american 90's & 00's rap , R&B & pop and they always bring homage to the OG ones. Speaking of Cocona, she went viral for trilingual rapping over JID's Surround Sound beat in the Tape 2 Galz Xypher. It's how a lot of AlphaZ discovered XG. Even JID himself gave her a shout-out! In an interview, she said it was her proudest moment. She got into rapping in the third grade listening to Lauryn Hill and TLC. She was only 16 when they filned the Xypher! ALPHAZ ON DECK 🐺🐺🐺 many references to anime in the video. Starting with “Memories” by Katsuhiro Otomo right at the beginning, to Ghost in the Shell (Harvey) and of course a lot of Princess Mononoke. Not forgetting, of course, all the other references, for example: Hungergames, Michael Jackson with Thriller and Moonwalk. Then of course the Matrix. Not to mention all the bars. The three vocals here in the video are the goddess and the rappers are the warriors. There are tiny little scenes in the video that are really hard to see. Pay close attention to the frames between minutes 1:30 and 1:31. just one small thing of many. F I G H T I N G there is also the “behind the scenes” video of the MV. Definitely worth watching

Alphaz on Deck !Something very peculiar that you find in XG is that they are very humble, simple, loving, genuine and charismatic girls, they love to eat and have fun with each other, they have lived together for more than 7 years now, some of them were very young when they began their training in Korea, to mention Cocona who was like 11 years old like Maya, and Juria who was 12 (if I'm not mistaken) They adore their fans, and they do practically much of what they propose. I would dare to say that they are unique in what they do, not that they are better than other groups, there are tastes and not all of us have the same tastes :) So thanks for your share and soon you will be checking out what I have written here. Their earlier stuff is a bit less appealing I think with the CG being less great, but the songs are still fire :) Their "lore" is that they're intergalactic werewolf aliens. This MV is them taking over a planet with nature :) Cocona is my favourite but Maya and Jurin are also masters. I'm seeing them live in two weeks! Undefeated, Tippy Toes, GRL GVNG, Shooting Star, Left Right all great :) If you just want to see them dance, check out their "Move" tapes. They also do Dance Practice MV's for most of their songs which is cool to watch them without CG or fancy outfits.

I remember when I first started watching Asian artists a long time ago, I had a hell of a time trying to tell them apart. There's a term for it that I can't remember about not being able to distinguish unique facial features from different areas of the world if you're not used to it. I know some reactors don't like to have captions on but if you're fine with it, it would help you better understand their bars without having to guess. Only their really early stuff has auto generated captions which are inaccurate but everything else is safe and besides it never hurts to check either way. 👍🏿
