I am not a young person. I have heard a lot of music and seen a lot of artists attempt to do what Jesse is doing. His Soul bleeds from his aura and his guitar. Every song has the ability to reach in a touch your heart. Thank you Jesse for doing what no one else can do.

In this world there are many guitarists who are capable of playing the most difficult and complicated music that you will ever hear on a guitar, but only a few are capable of the most sublime, which is making it speak. And Jesse Cook gets it. Thank you, thank you very much Master.

Beautiful song Jesse, The music and videography were so on point. I wrote the below after my husband passed and the song didn't bring tears but an appreciation of the time we had together. Time stops for no one and as the years move on and we move forward from what once was. We take the memories and experiences making them even more beautiful in the tapestry of life we continue to weave. A Widow’s Path A widow’s path she walks alone Each step she takes leads her far from home A place once was is no more Future uncertain on distant shores The sunrises, the sun sets Her beloved gone, holding no regrets Except the future not shared With her loved one not spared A widow’s path she walks alone Each step she takes leads her far from home

🍃💐 Speaks to many many .. many… Some losses we recover from.. some we don’t.. we don’t want to.. this life is short.. great thing departure is not forever. They want us to move on but… how can we.. if that was one more sign of their love to us? I wish you happiness… both lives! 💞

This is the first time I saw this video "Once" and it broke me...the memories of old stone houses in my mom's and in my dad's villages, each on opposite sides of the country but so much in common...my childhood and youth spent in both of those villages and my goodby when I was leaving to come to this part of the world, Canada. All the hurt of "goodbyes", shared lives and moments to become just sweet and sad memories, leaving it all behind and much of it does not even exist any more. All of it came like and avalanche while listening to you playing the plaintive notes of the song and watching you walk away for good. I did, too, like you did, not to return...Aaahhh, pain and tears. long held in...found their way out with your heartfelt play on the strings of your guitar...it is quite a release for me and I thank you again for your sensitive heart and soul poured out with your music. Another of sad but healing song for me. Thank you, thank you, Jesse, you are one of a kind

Thank you for sharing your story. I guess our experience is not unique. I didn’t go back for decades, when I finally found my way back to our little village, I absolutely lost it. It took me quite by surprise. My daughter didn’t understand why daddy was crying. But though those places may still exist, they have changed, and so had I. The world moves ever forward. It was wonderful to go back. And sometimes that’s enough...

The intimate finesse of what notes Jesse chooses to play, and which ones he doesn't shows how the song is written from an unscripted heart... just following the feelings. That is everlasting art. And the spirit recognizes and follows that soothing, still small voice. Still wondering how many times can I listen to this song? I don't think it's possible to tire of it. It's food. All my soul is grateful Jesse.

I never comment but this just speaks to me so strongly. I had a happy and magical childhood even though we grew up in poverty. I still drive thru that neighborhood when I travel home. When I see the old house, all kinds of emotions, some good some not, wash over me. It affects my poetry and my song writing in many ways but mostly, it affects me as a father. The music is perfect for what I feel when I return to home. Your music is inspiring Jesse....thank you for taking the time to share the story.

On your last concert in Toronto you shared with us the beautiful story behind this amazing music -I was there with my family and I had tears in my eyes during the all time you played “Once”. First time when I heard this song, I was on a plane, going back home to see my parents and my home.. i didn’t know anything about you, but I heard this song over and over again, probably 30 times ...and I felt everything that you felt when you went back with your kids to that beautiful, stone house in France where you grew up.. I didn’t know your story then, but your music so magically spoke to my heart and made me feel what you felt going back and what you wanted to say through your wonderful music ... Once will be forever one of my favourites!!!💓💓💓

Music that speaks volumes without ever saying a word. He is the Picasso of instrumental music whom I have followed since his first album (Tempest)...led to me there by the Gipsy Kings whose music we played to our first born son. His music has been the anchor and bedrock of genres that I return to as I have traveled...hearing Incantation over the speakers at the Pera Palace in Istanbul, Falling From Grace and Virtue while traveling through Rome and the Vatican and many other connections. I can’t wait for the end of the COVID era to be able to attend another one his concerts. For me, his music is truly spoken in Beloved.
