Today I saw JJ commenting after the George Floyd Verdict came in Guilty for DC. Time is not kind, he has Parkinson’s since “97. Here he is the moral compass for American a beautiful person remember watching this speech on TV summer of 1988. Such a noble man.

Respect! He spoke out against Apartheid consistently and more than any foreign black person through mainstream media.

I wa born in 2001 so I wasn’t around, but based on what I’ve seen I really like JJ. He’s very charismatic and has a lot of passion. He was definitely more interesting and a more powerful speaker than Dukakis. Watching JJ, I really get the feeling he cared for all his fellow people. If I was around I woulda voted for him

I voted for him in the primary but many suspected the DNC interfered just like they are doing now with Sanders.

Rev JJ was the first candidate i ever thought was worthwhile voting for, after years of political apathy. His message is still valid. Obama will imo be considered a good president for his leadership style. His policies fell fall downwards of Rev JJ, showing him to be the republican that he was: His deathdestruction war misadventures(afghan/libya/syria), his bailing out the oligarchy(instead of dispossessed working poor), his entrenchment of a corporate insurance monopoly (RomneyCare), above all ^^^ lowly immoral assassination death from be low with no due process, the arrogance of assumption of a uni verse al perspective, the combined roles of judge jury executioner. All the surveillance states tools compared to what actually lives is like the light that is reflected back at night from the dark planet of death Pluto, compared to the light of the day. They and he can not see it. Obama with his dispassionate dispensation of death will have that mirrored back in equal measure of dispassionate dispensation of death, by the cosmic balance that rests on the most infinitely fine of point. God have mercy on his soul for those murders, and God does have mercy on the souls of the murdered. Wonder if one knows what the term Equality actually even encompasses. A continuous shame that the good Reverend was not the first black president...

Obama killed freedom of speech and initiated an illegal drone war in the middle-east. Don't get me wrong, Obama is a good man ... but he did some bad things.

I think JJ would have been a better choice because he's a Brother born on the mainland and knows what it is like being a black man here in the U.S. Obama does not because he was born in Hawaii and he was not brought up by Black folks. Also, Obama did not do anything for Blacks anyway.

@@ingeniousmechanic That isn't how I remember his speeches/articles back in the REagan era. He was quite progressive in a more progressive time. The current Antifa movement seems to me to be against free speech.

Jesse would've been the first black President, if he had thought to tell us how primary elections work. We had been trained and warned not to participate. Obama became the first black President because he informed us of how primary elections work.

That’s a highly inaccurate statement. Actually a lie. Which is consistent with Trump and his supporters. Plus Trump was a registered Democrat in 1984.

1984 - I was 29 years old. And what part did I miss that when the sinful Rev Jessie Jackson would park his arse on the news bragging about having Donald Trump as his biggest Donor and witnessing Trump encouraging him to run. We all make mistakes.
