That grotto was beautiful! Isn't it amazing what human beings can be inspired to do when humble and grateful? I had never heard of that type of pizza but it looked really good (despite my being a vegetarian). Thanks for the reminder that Jesse James was a horrible person. Loving the road trips and getting to see "the greatest dog in the world." Stay warm.

If you ever get down to North Bend, Ohio, near Cincinnati, the first U.S. train robbery took place there in May 1865. That grotto was massive and so impressive. I can't image the planning and work that went into that. Keep warm and safe, my friend. Blessings - Judith 🎵🎭

@@dannyirvine4262 Hello Danny. My grandparents farmed the Point Farm on Bowers(?) Road that President William Henry Harrison gave to his son John Scott Harrison ( a congressman, I think), who raised his son, President Benjamin's Harrison there. I believe they tore the house down for some plant or refinery. They next moved into the one room school house on top of My. Nebo but when they and my aunt and uncle passed away, the powers that be torn that down too. I would really like to check out the museum above the fire station some time. There is so much history in that area. It's my father's side of the family and I'm the youngest grandchild so I don't know a lot more of family history. I do remember how beautiful the view is from on top of Mt. Nebo. Have a great night. Blessings - Judith 🎭🎵

@@davidrice3337 I'm not familiar with that town. I believe the Harrison who signed the Declaration was President William Henry Harrison's father Benjamin, President Benjamin Harrison's great grandfather. I believe, I'm not certain. Take what I learned with a grain of salt. ☺️

If you get a chance, go over to Spillville, IA to see the Bily bros. hand carved wooden clocks. They're really something to see. The clocks are in a building that composer Antonin Dvorak stayed at with his family when he was visiting the U.S. in 1893. Part of the museum is dedicated to him.

I'm glad you got to go to the Surf Ballroom, it's a great place, and so frozen in time, by some miracle. I have been to the Britt hobo convention. There is a park and cemetery there that are dedicated to the hobos and Britt is proud to be the home of the hobos. They make a huge batch of hobo stew in the park and feed the whole town. People bring bowls from home to fill and take back or you can get a bowl there, all free. They have a contest for hobo king and hobo queen. Everyone attending can vote by applause. The year I went there was an 80+ year old Black woman there who had been a hobo most of her life. I didn't get the chance to talk to her, but I wish I could have. I bet she would have had some in the IA state sandwich as it's everywhere and no one does it as good as they do. If you get near Delhi, there's a great restaurant near the park (sorry, I can't remember the name).
