I met Jesse when he was the mayor of Brooklyn Park, MN. People have always tended to underestimate him, he's intelligent, educated , principled and isn't afraid to say things as he sees it. I remember when he was running for Governor, people didn't think he had a real chance. He's a brilliant debater, which I believe won the people of Minnesota over, and when the smoke cleared, he was Governor of Minnesota. If the Democrats and Republicans would let him on the debate stage, it would be real interesting to see the support he could garner on a possible White House run. I do disagree strongly with his stance on gun control, too many innocent are dying each year because of gun violence. Thoughts and prayers aren't cutting it anymore. We need to ban gun lobbyist money in government, and evaluate assault weapons in this country and the need for the aveage citizen to own them. The 2nd ammendment states a "Well regulated Militia", it was not intended for the ordinary citizen. Military and law enforcement use, fine. We need to find a concrete solution to the world worst gun problem.

Bill Clinton got a warning of a plan to hijack planes to be used as weapons for an attack on the WTC in 1998 and did nothing to increase airport security or anything to increase background checks for Visas because he was fully aware of the plans in motion and had nothing to do with Muslims hijacking planes. I love this interview so much. The best part to me is that Jesse kept citing obscure, under-reported, non-mainstream facts and events that Piers clearly had never heard of, but which Jesse had researched during his book writing. Piers couldn't refute them, because since he'd never heard about them he had no way of knowing whether they were true or false, and if he denied something and it WERE true Jesse would tear him apart. He also couldn't ask whether they were true, or say "is it a fact that [X PERSON] did [Y ACTION]?" because he would then be showing his ignorance and revealing that Jesse is far more well-read than him in obscure or under-reported issues, and would look like a fool. So he would just stay silent, and then move on. It's just golden.
