My son just bought a Charger, and this was the exact video we need to get it done! We'll be working on this project soon. Thank you.

Awesome video. I will recommend you using a jack stand the next time you jack your car up for an extended period of time. The clicking noise might be the CV joint, parking brake need adjustment or both. Grinding noise is usually related to wheel bearing so if you had this noise, changing them certainly took care of that. It's also a good idea to replaced both sides so they wear together. I need to do this on my 2012 Dodge Charger SRT8. Thanks again for a very good video.

When you wiggle your tire as you suggested, how do you know if it is the wheel bearing or a ball joint? Ball joints on these 2006-2010 Chargers seem to go bad (I've had to replace my ball joints twice in 12 years).

Could you do a list of tools and parts you used? I'd really appreciate it. I have to do mine and I need to buy tools, I've been doing a lot of my own repairs, but run into trouble with knowing what tools I need sometimes. Kind of tired of borrowing tools too.

Great videos on the mechanics of your charger; Please keep them coming! I have a 2006 300C with original everything with only 70,000 miles and I try to do all of my mechanical repairs. Did you ever find out if the tie-rod was shot? My front end has a "wobble" when I go over rail road tracks and when I decrease my speed off an interstate ramp, I have a lot of shimmy in the wheels. Any suggestions of what it could be?

Before you replaced the wheels hubs, were you getting a clicking noise from the wheels when you would make a hard turn? Sorta the same sound you would get when a CV axle was going bad?
@tombanes10 ай бұрын
He does not have AWD on that vehicle. No CV joint.
@MrCougar21410 ай бұрын
@@tombanes I know there is no cv joints. That's why I was asking cause I get a clicking sound in my left front wheel when making a hard right turn. With the car being rear wheel drive, there are no cv axes in the front(Which makes that sound when they go bad). So If I have no cv axles then what is making the clicking noise when I make a hard right? My brain is telling me worn hub barrings but I was looking for a second opinion.
@tombanes10 ай бұрын
@@MrCougar214 I am so sorry I re -read your post. My reply did not apply. Guess I was tired looking at all these videos and posts. Did you ever find your problem back then as it was 3 years ago. I am trying to diagnose a noise that is very hard to hear that I thought was the front right bearing on my RWD RT with only 50 k . The noise mimics the sound of my exhaust but is vehicle speed related and hear it most at 12 MPH . Spinning all wheels off the ground and move the tires back and forth show no play or noises. It might be my carrier bearing on the drive shaft but I cannot replicate the noise with the car jacked up.
@MrCougar21410 ай бұрын
@@tombanes no. I never figured it out or got it fixed but I have had no issues with it surprisingly. I will get to it one of these days.....lol

You have to get the hub and bearing together in one assembly? I have a 2010 Charger. Also one way of telling your bearing is bad is Brindling on the race. The balls them selfs will not show any wear.
@DevineDurans8 жыл бұрын
yes it comes all one piece together. Bearings already greased as well. does not hurt to add more grease before installing..

Have u ever heard of or seen the bearing race part being hard to get off the spindle or even stuck on?
@DevineDurans8 жыл бұрын
the spindle nut? no my came off pretty easy, however the dust cap that keeps dust out of the spindle I hade to use w40. if moister or degree gets in it im sure it could cause that and or really worn bearings. make sure when you put new ones on you torque to specs.

That baby looks like new. Is it the original paint?
@DevineDurans7 жыл бұрын
Alberto González yes. 2006 barely hit 100k miles. New Hemi engine only has 8k miles. garage parked car low miles. never park her in direct sunlight.
@Albertojedi7 жыл бұрын
Jesse Duran Excellent job. I have a 2006 Chrysler 300C with 56k miles on it. The paint is nowhere as neat as yours. But it parks in direct sunlight. Even though I use to cover it, the paint has somewhat bleached out.
@shill14446 жыл бұрын
Jesse Duran - How much did it cost you to drop the new engine in there? I'm at 120k, no real issues but I was thinking about putting a new HEMI in eventually. I NEED to keep this body, don't like the new ones.
