Hi Jesse San, just wanted to tell you something. Since becoming a Karate Nerd I have gone training properly. I did start again at white belt doing Shotokan but sadly after a few months two things happend I got bored of doing age uke gyaku zuki for hour after hour it just wasnt doing it for me. Then more importantly my knees started to play up big time. I needed to go back to a more upright style so I have gone back to Tang Soo do and loving it again so thank you. Secondly you were the first you tuber I followed and I have loved everything you have done. Having enjoyed your work I started watching others and literally just this moment I have realised why I have enjoyed your videos and have become weary of most of the others. Simply put (I know long winded and ironically) You are a class above. You never denigrate or ridicule or slate other people or styles. Your videos are informative fun, they push boundaries in a respectful way and you are not up yourself..... Anyway enough smoke blowing I am just going to do some exercise and hyungs or kata. Funny thing I can do Japanese commands totally lost with Korean lol. Thsnks again : )

Loved your answer Jesse san on what type of training. Be a generalist. YES! Traditionally in old Okinawan karate they did weights and conditioning (Hojo Undo) as well as Kobudo and the usual karate training. They didn't of course do much kata(or sparring ) but did do a lot of 2 person drills built on kata knowledge. For us? I agree with you. Cardio. Resistance. Kata. Combinations. Grappling. Striking. Kicking. Weapons.Sparring.(Keeping it real). ALL of it. That way we grow our understanding of the art and advance it as an art. To make it better - Just be better :) Many thanks for your ongoing and stellar work Jesse. Much appreciated.

Yes, what you are saying about not getting into fights is right on. I actually self-train and have learned different styles and know how to deliver an effective punch. One day a relative of mine intentionally ruined my favorite shirt that hung in my cabinet. When I saw it I got so angry that I punched the door in my room and to my surprise. I punched a hole on the door like it was hit with a sledge hammer. I didn't know that I could do that, and all the more. I didn't fight my relative for fear of the damage I could do to him. I was gentle as a dove and didn't even bring it up and just let it pass and forgave him. Now I have so many shirts from all over the world every kind of shirt I wanted I have. Imagine the kind of trouble that could have happened, if I got into a fight with him? One of us could have ended in the hospital or in the grave. Self-control is very very important, unless life is threatened we should not apply what we know the most lethal weapons that we have is in our hearts in our mind, and soul that can not be destroyed. Shalom my friend, I'm a fan and enjoyed watching your videos, your awesome! Keep up the good work my friend. . .

Congrats Jessy. 🥳 I have a short question concerning training kids to improve their balance and feeling of gravity, like you showed while running through the woods. which exercises would you use? As this will improve stances in general, it should be great for karate in general. and can you recommend a book with „modern“ training methods for kids? like biomechanics, age specific training etc. Thank you in advance and enjoy springtime 🐣

Varnished of course! And some elegant cadres on the rest of the walls. But no other installations! The frame on the cadres and the rest of the small furniture, it would be nice, if they have the same texture and color!

@KARATEbyJesse5 жыл бұрын
Well spotted! 👍 Mom drives the Toyota 😜
@shawnm56925 жыл бұрын
Well, they're technically the same company. Upgraded is not always "upgraded" either. Luxury cars just have many extra features that essentially serve to scam the owner of the vehicle when it comes to service at the dealership. That means spending extra money that was unnecessary to begin with. So is it really an upgrade?
@shawnm56925 жыл бұрын
@Conexus X18 Yes, same engineering. Many Lexus models have the same motor as the carolla. Only major difference are comfort features (heated seats, hardwood steering wheel, back up camera, Lexus logo shining on the ground when you open the door, driving assist, etc). Luxury cars have things that can cause more electrical issues so you end up taking it to the mechanic more often. Everytime the check engine light goes on you have no choice but to take it to the dealership to replace easy stuff since it's all computerized. That is the plight of modern cars and especially luxury cars. In other words, luxury is not an upgrade but you do you.
