This video is definitely one i should have done way before. I've always been a huge fan of the first season of True Detective, ever since i saw it back in 2014.
Rust has always been a character that stayed with me, and i mean from the writing to the performance of Matthew McConaughey, Rush is probably one of the best character i've ever seen on television.
I hope you will like this tribute to him and you will appreciate the video!

In my opinion, this isn't just one of the greatest television performances of all time, this is one of the greatest acting performances period, in all of tv, film, stage, etc. Mcconaughey was unbelievably phenomenal in this role. Every scene was so deep with so many layers.

In my humble opinion, your best character study. Rust is one of the best characters I’ve seen on tv lately and this video did insane justice to the role played by Matthew. The music was incredibly well chosen and fit the tone you were going for brilliantly. Haven't you ever seen a series or franchise ruined by a terrible follow-up? You can never quite look at the original in the same way again. It's like you have a really good novel, complete in itself. If you write a sequel, and it's terrible, then that affects people's perception of the first book too. It's no longer as great as it was, because it's inherently connected to something inferior.
