Sony HXR-NX5 Record Format

Hey Jesse, LOve you your videos, I have owned my Sony NX 5 for 8 months and love it, and you were right the first time I am getting 2 hours and 50 minutes on my 32gig pro duo's and I get over 11 hours on my 128gig flash.

Hi im using nx5p. But my file recordee in mts format. Is there any way for me to make it record in mp4 format?

hmm... this is an old camera. try changing the record codec to XAVC S for mp4 files

Great camers, I have 2 that i use for weddings. The problem is that sometimes the video looks very grainy when im shooting indoors, even when i have the cameras on auto. How do i get rid of those annoying indoor graininess?

Hi Jesse, Great video. I have recently purchased an NX5 & a Sony Pro Duo HX 32gb (20mbs writing speed) I have been having some slight flicker on my videos after recording in pretty much all the HQ formats at any shutter speed in low lighting and even high. I HDMI the camera to a 32" TV and it was fine no flicker. It was just when I recorded and imported the files from the memory stick. Whats the best solution, by a SDHC / SDXC card instead? can you tell me if you face any issue with recording on both card and flash unit at the same time, there seem to be some buffer over run issue can you confirm?

The nx5u is my first hd camera. I never had a problem putting sd video on you tube but with this avchd format everything looks great on tv but terrible on you tube. I edit in pinnacle studio which seems to do fine.What suggestions can you give me for downloading to you tube .I have read youtube does not handle the avchd and you have to tranfers files. Any help would be appreciated
