The sad thing for those who say it's traveling is that typically the step back is a gather step so you could actually step back then take 2 steps forward, elevate, then either shoot or pass in the air...we see this all the time in the paint with a pump fake included in the gather...
@supremeamine23824 жыл бұрын
Once he takes one step back, he now has a pivot foot, so when he brings the other one back to collect his feet, that's a travel every time.

The NBA never should have allowed Hardens travel er... step back (i guess). This whole gather the ball on 0 step is just nonsense. Its not even harden manipulating the rules anymore, its the NBA saving face, trying to explain the move not being a travel when everyone can see that it is. Its like seeing blue and knowing its blue and the NBA trying to tell us, no, its green. Its a travel, its not legal and it should never have been allowed.
@GetHandles5 жыл бұрын
They actually added the zero step to the rule book a few years before he was doing it. I really think he realized the rule change could be used to his advantage and did exactly that. Hard to say for sure though 🤷♂️

It supposed to be 1 2 not 0 1 2. 0 1 2 is 3 digit means its 3 steps. There's a lot of players that drives to the hoop hugging or cradling the ball with 1 hand/arm, so the rule about you should have control over the ball with 2 hands is BS.

@superbuu1223 жыл бұрын
Exactly, that was his pivot, and him bringing the other foot back to plant it is the equivalent of being in a triple point stance and just jabbing your non pivot foot. A lot of people are not realizing this is why it isn’t a travel. Once he reestablished his pivot the other was just a jab it’s just going backwards so it takes some getting used to as it’s new. But definitely not a travel and very legal.
